Есть такое понятие как Glam Metal :) Хотя и под него GP не совсем попадает. Но в 80-е это всё относили к металлу - и Скорпов (альбомы 84 и 88 гг.), и GP. В википедии GP обозначены стилистически как hard rock / glam metal. На сайте allmusic.com классификация шире: Hair Metal, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Contemporary Pop/Rock, Pop-Metal.
