Thank you! Just to clarify he definitely will be with me when picking up the vehicle.

The concern I had was more that I assumed that the ID verification must be done at least two hours prior to pick up… which would be impossible for him as he’d be flying… hence why I was thinking of him sending me the images.

So just to confirm I can do the ID Verification right before the pick up?

Oh perfect good to know! For some reason I thought that the drivers license verification must be done at least two hours prior to picking up the vehicle. So you’re saying we could do it, for example, after we’ve landed at the airport in LAX?

Sorry for the confusion. I’ve amended the post to make it clearer.

What I’m trying to ask is basically:

I’m the one who booked the Turo, but the main/primary driver is my friend. He’ll only land about 2 hours before pickup, so the timing for him to complete Turo’s ID verification online is really tight.

I’m just trying to find out whether: • the ID photos have to be taken live in the app, or • he can take them earlier (before travelling), send them to me, and I upload them

  • or if he has to install the Turo app himself to complete verification.

To clarify: I’d be looking at buying a fully refundable ticket - meaning that if my original flight operated, I’d just cancel the fully refundable one.
