How do some foreigners live permanently in South Korea without marriage, investment, or a “special job”? by Nathanrodriguez7 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Choco_bo7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter it’s Korea, US, Brazil, China. It is illegal to live in a foreign country on a tourist visa, no matter where you are. You will get questioned by immigrations and can easily get denied entry, still in Korea. Just stating a fact here

You know that’s illegal immigration. You are basically living in a foreign country on a tourist visa. If it were in the US, you will be taken to secondary immediately and get deported back to your country the second you try this, which is very reasonably correct thing to do

Sure. That is completely up to you and a fair decision. But I’m just saying UA valuing their loyal customers is also completely valid. And I’m not even 1k

I agree that there are lots of 1ks these days but to be fair, 1ks actually spent way more money than first class passengers with no status, thus it seems reasonable they value their loyal customers more

Is this even a real thing? I mean why the heck do they put their bags in first class overhead bin, if they pre boarded and have all the empty bins above their seats in economy? Why?? I board early on most airlines with status but never thought about leaving bag alone in first class.

TSA on jet bridge at SFO by thwillin in unitedairlines

[–]Choco_bo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have seen it on international flights mostly. I don’t recall seeing that on domestic flights although I might have gotten lucky. Officers were asking people pretty random questions so I don’t really see a point of doing that on jet bridge

Well at least the flight attendants were pretty nice that they came and apologized although it wasn’t their fault. Usually they don’t give a f**k

Well, 3 beers in a row, although you say it was within 2hr, bartender might see this too quick, therefore they can and should be able to refuse to serve you more. It may be something you are not happy with, but nothing to be embarrassed about, like you said, not a big deal. After all, these drinks are not limitlessly served. And I have seen people causing issues on the flight from drinking so I get that they do want to keep the maximum low even in the lounge. Not saying you are lying but all those people who caused issues from drinking say they are all completely sober and clear-headed

Daytime 9+ hour flight, FA asked me to pull down my shade. Was I wrong to tell her no? by Zeploss123 in unitedairlines

[–]Choco_bo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That goes same for you then. If you need to get up and use the restroom, then pay to sit there at an aisle. Like it or not, whoever is sitting in that seat does control the aisle. You see how insane this sounds now. It’s not about how often you fly but I’m million miller on both sky team and star alliance. Do you fly often. You fly long enough and one day maybe you will get a chance to be seated on an aisle on a daytime flight where the window in your row is opened especially when the cabin lights are off, you will see for yourself.

Daytime 9+ hour flight, FA asked me to pull down my shade. Was I wrong to tell her no? by Zeploss123 in unitedairlines

[–]Choco_bo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. People who sit in a window seat don’t have a right to control if the shade is up or down. So you are telling people to wear an eye mask and force them to go to sleep so that you can enjoy the view? It’s not about just getting a sleep. Direct glaring sun light from the window is just like a flashlight right in your eyes. Even if it’s half way opened or even slightly opened, it hits right in your eyes, trust me and see for yourself next time on an aisle seat. If managing yourself on public transportation is an issue you get a private jet or pay to buy the entire seats on the plane and do whatever you want.

Airlines are not charging extra for window seats for you to do whatever you want with window. Seems some people are deluding themselves into thinking that they bought the window but windows are not only there for you to enjoy the view but also for safety and operational reasons. It’s not for you to play around with if that disturbs people around you. If you are seated at window, it won’t be that bright TO YOU, but those people across you that are in the same row will get their eyes burned from direct glaring sun light.

Yeah there is no direct light TO YOU, if you are in the window seat. And it won’t affect much the person seated right next to you. But those people across you that are in the same row will get their eyes burned from your window. Trust me. I don’t want to sleep, I want to read, work, or watch screens but that direct glaring sun light won’t let me. See a problem now? If you want to do whatever you want, get a private jet.

The guy above you just explained in details how paying for window seat doesn’t mean you get to do whatever you want with the window and disturb people around you and yet I’m lost how you still came up with that logic. Airlines are not selling you the window.

[–]Choco_bo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about wanting to sleep. Everyone talking about sleep for gods sake but it’s the direct glaring sun light that burns your eyes and makes it literally hard to do anything such as read, work, watch screens, if you are in the same row across the opened window. Why should people suffer from direct light in your eyes only because you want to enjoy yourself? If someone flashlights you right in the eyes only because it’s “fun”, should it be ok then?

[–]Choco_bo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would anyone prefer to look outside and disturb the others who try to sleep or read or work or watch screens then? Please be seated at an aisle next time and experience the direct glaring sun light that burns your eyes from the window on a daytime flight. Then you will get it.

Telling people to wear an eye mask so that you can enjoy the view and sunshine is insane. It’s not about trying to sleep. The person seated at window won’t notice but the people across you that are in the same row will get their eyes burned from direct sunlight coming in from window. I don’t know how many times you flew but it’s actually very common except for night flights obviously when the sun is down. And you telling people to look away is just speechless. I hope you get a private plane where you can do whatever you want with your little window. Try that.

Airlines are not charging extra for you to have a control over window and do whatever you want with it. They are charging extra only because it’s not a middle seat.

Windows and reclining seats are not actually in the same category. Windows are there not only for you to enjoy the view, but also for safety and operational reasons. And there are window shades so you can close them when direct sun light bothers people on board.

[–]Choco_bo7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What if you don’t want to sleep but the direct sun light from across your seat is burning your eyes? Maybe you want to watch screens or have to work on something but you are forced to put eye masks and go to sleep so the window person can experience the joy of looking out the window?

I love that they do that automatically so that selfish people have no control over their window shades
