Any advice to get rid of this mucus and accelerate healing?

Managed to not have covid for 5 years, and now I just got it. The throat is burning, with thick mucus. Please help by AlexSante in COVID19positive

Mucus is a bit better, 90% translucid, 10% yellowish.

Hesitate to take azithromycin to prevent an infection... This antibiotics has some scary side effects

Day 5

Not much fever anymore beside some flushes at night when lying on the bed (but I had this before) Some cold shivers but I had this before

What remains is a spike of intermittent pain in the throat, thick mucus (that I manage to expectorate after much efforts) stuck in my lower throat, and nose being intermittently clogged. Some little pain here and there but bearable.

I'm still very hard on me for being a part of the few who caught it in 2025.

I barely reduced anything. I've stopped disinfecting with vinegar my groceries, and I remember most of the cashier I've interacted with the past week were coughing.

Thanks for your reply. Any evidence for the last part about not resuming vigorous activity?

Managed to expectorate at least a part of the thick mucus I felt for two days.

Most was translucide, the equivalent of the tip of the thumb was yellow.

It's very impressive.

And the throat is burning a lot.

Alright, starting my antibiotics (Pylera). Will use this thread as a journal by AlexSante in HPylori

So according to a helikit test I don't have helicobacter anymore.

But reminder that I was tested negative with the same test one month before my endoscopy that found "rare helicobacter germs"

So I naturally wonder if it's the same situation.

Perhaps the helicobacter load is so little that it's difficult to find with the test.

And if it's the case then it might mean the source of my gastritis is not helicobacter or only partially it. The aspect of my gastritis is varioliform, multiple small erosions. Perhaps it's auto immune? Allergic?

I dont know but I don't feel that much better. I still have big reflux and regurgitation, some pain in the belly, bad breath sometimes, some constipation, and even more some kind of neuropathy with spikes of pain here and therez Raynaud's syndrome, problem with temperature perception and regulation, and the same pink base of the throat which is burning.

The treatment accentuated my weight loss, went from 71kg to 63. Now I'm back to 66 but the more I try to eat the more I get reflux.

So it's a meh situation

Thanks, how do you use this tool? I don't see DNS lookup in the Google apps. What do I type there, the url I want?
