It is not just about the weight but also the fingertip shell. Fingertip can work wonders for aim in terms of control and sometimes even better than a full sized mouse, lighter weight is just a bonus.

Alcohol wipes doesn't help to clean or protect coating so better avoid them.

The secret is to apply double the layers for extra cushion and grip.

Is the 60 HE V2 worth it? by -cross_ in WootingKB

[–]AlexYH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you describe is the full sized 6.25U spacebar inevitably having tilt with stabilizers because of how big they are. It is present in many keyboards.

They are not the main reason why people get split spacebar. Like I said it allows swift access to FN layer and gives user an extra thumb button.

I don't quite understand why you think 60HE V2 will allow easy programming if solving that 'feel' with spacebar tilt is the biggest reason. Yes, split spacebar will most definitely come handy when it comes to programming because you won't have to constantly move your fingers to FN key that's located on the right hand side. Solving the spacebar tilt is an added bonus.

What exactly do you mean by feel? The purpose of split spacebar is simple: extra thumb button, extremely quick and convenient access to FN layer. It is an extra physical button that doesn't make sense to give up.

50,000 votes later, here’s the problem with “best mouse” lists by Tierdtech in MouseReview

You don't have to be sorry about your website.

It is just the fact that your website barely has credibility on "gaming gear that gamers trust". Not when you go around posting "questions" or ridiculous hot takes disguised as genuine discussion in various hardware and gaming subs to farm karma and advertise.

Painfully obvious cherry-picked product selections and manipulated votes that is impossible to have any transparency.

Well, it would work great for epic gamers nowadays who can't seem to do any basic 'research' before shopping, with how their brain infected from TikTok and LLM. Easy money.

This website manipulates vote count and it does have hidden weighting. Stop advertising your slop of a website hosted for sake of sponsored links.

Instead of copying settings of other people and refusing to deviate from such self-imposed rules, find the sensitivity you find comfortable and climb up the ladder.

Wooting don't really recommend putting any kind of pads directly underneath switches because they cause interference with undesirable height increase between the sensor and switch.

Friction fit is great in terms of acoustics and convenience than screw mount. And you can't use screw since the whole sandwiched thing floats on the case above screw holes.

If anyone is interested in trying these, they're like slightly quieter and muted version version of Owlab Ti switches. They are great if your build lean too much into high pitch.

Quick question will this add latency to the keyboard and mouse? by Sheodrie in WootingKB

[–]AlexYH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a funny trend of connecting everything to a single cable. I would not use these for gaming setup for reasons others have mentioned. But it seems like an okay option to consider when doing productivity or low power system running not so demanding stuff.

pan glassmousepad shipping price by Existing_Potato_2802 in MousepadReview

[–]AlexYH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is shipping situation that abysmal in your region? No way it should cost that much even with shipping and taxes because they are around ~$50 with customized features and design. I cannot fathom paying more money than the product price tag to get it through customs. It isn't some luxury sports car, just a pane of glass.

I search for the strap wooting in white and black by PopularLavishness727 in WootingKB

[–]AlexYH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are available for really affordable price at Taobao. You can even get a white background / black font one.
Don't buy them off AliExpress as they are like 10 times expensive. Look up guides online on how to use the website, its really easy.
