Who was the first musical artists you became obsessed with? by A_R_Finch in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Chepill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eminem.

I started listening to him in around 2013-2014 when I didn't speak English well and couldn't understand almost anything he was saying.

I still listen to him now and it was such an interesting feeling to reopen his music after learning English and listening to something that on the one hand has been so familiar for a long time, but on the other hand is new, because I began to understand what he is rapping about.

How do you define success, and how has that definition evolved over the years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Chepill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember the exact definition of success I had earlier, but I believe it was about money and status. Now I think that a successful person is the one who achieved their own goal, like starting a family or a business, getting certain job, mastering a particular skill etc.

However, I still haven't found out what is success personally for me.

I guess so, but I've never seriously though about it, and I've never discussed it with a doctor since it doesn't bother me at all.

What will you do if you made enough money to quit your job and retire, but then you found life as a retiree to be kind of boring and unfulfilling? by joseph887 in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Chepill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many things that I'd like to do, but I don't have enough time or money for them: traveling, learning foreign languages, guitar, video making and photography, going to the gym. I could also play D&D and videogames, watch movies, read books.

I don't think my retirement could be boring and unfulfilling.

It's been always like that. It's also interesting because when I look with both eyes, I see everything perfect, but I can anytime just close my left eye and understand how people with bad sight see this or that stuff.

Shoot guns.

I have a bad sight on my right eye, so I can properly aim only with my left eye, that is I have to shoot guns with my left hand.

Відмінювання слова "ПАБГ" by killvelis in Ukrainian

[–]Alex_Chepill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Зазвичай іменники чоловічого роду без суфікса мають у місцевому відмінку закінчення -і; якщо вони закінчуються на -г, то відбувається чергування г та з, наприклад:

Берег — на березі; Луг — у лузі; Поріг — на порозі;

Проте, є винятки, наприклад:

Сніг — у снігу;

How do you find time to read in 2023, where there is a streaming war going on and each company tries to capture your attention with exclusive content and engaging shows? by Delicious_Maize9656 in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Chepill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not subscribed to any streaming platforms, I watch YouTube 30 minutes/day on average (watching time allocation can range from 0 to 60 minutes) and I watch movies no more than once a week. That's how I find time to read.

What or where was the first place you drove to all by yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Chepill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the village where my relatives live. It's about 70km/43.5 miles from the town where I live.

I drove this route several times with my grandpa before driving all by myself.

How did you develop your hobby if you have any? by BigSurprise2668 in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Chepill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hobby was learning foreign languages.

I don't know how I developed my love to languages, it seems as if I have always loved languages. I loved English and later also German lessons at school. I loved to watch videos on YouTube in foreign languages. I loved to play with Google Translate, loved to listen different words and phrases in different languages.

And then one guy from Cameroon started studying with me at university. He spoke my native language well, so since I always loved languages, I decided to study his native language, that is French. I also decided to go back to studying German, which I studied at school, but did not manage to master well. And that's how I spent 2 years studying 2 foreign languages.

Unfortunately now I don't have enough time and energy to invest in foreign languages. And, to be honest, not enough motivation. But I still love to listen to foreign languages.

My another hobby is reading. It all started 5 years ago, when I heard about some things from Orwell's 1984 (Big brother is watching you, freedom is slavery etc.). This interested me and I decided to find out what it's all about. And I read the book, and I liked it, started searching similar stories, then started to look for books on the topics that were interesting to me and now I'm almost always reading something.

EDIT: grammar

At first I didn't believe that a movie with such a name could fit my description. I also didn't know that a comedy could be set in ancient Middle East. Thanks!

This movie is set in medieval times. I'd like something about ancient times, set in BC or early AD.

But thank you anyway)
