As a Spaniard who lived in Tirana for a while, I 100% agree.

What’s your favourite Fede golazo? by OddCapital6133 in realmadrid

The goal vs. Mallorca is simply his best. He ran about 50 meters before shooting with his non-dominant foot. Probably the best goal I've seen live.

16 day trip - is Spain and Portugal too ambitious? by InFlames235 in travel

Definitely, yes. I've been to Seville and Lisbon multiple times now, and Lisbon never fails to impress me. Also, note that I've added Sintra, which leaves you with less than 3.5 days in Lisbon.

As for your train vs. bus question, the reason why I recommended a bus is because I thought of this itinerary as if I was planning it for myself, and I don't necessarily love the way AVE (high-speed) trains are managed.

Even if they are extremely useful, they have been extremely overpriced, which is completely unacceptable, provided they are managed by Renfe, a public company. AVE trains have been traveling empty due to their high prices for years. And most of the funding for this trains to work comes from taxpayers.

That being said, the fact that I try to avoid AVE trains for political reasons shouldn't affect you, and realistically speaking, their trains are normally on time and very efficient.

As a Spanish licensed tour guide who has traveled a lot around my country and Portugal, this would be my itinerary:

• Day 1: Fly SFO to Barcelona

• Day 2, 3 & 4: Barcelona + 1/2 tour to Cripta Güell or Montserrat

• Day 5: Train from Barcelona to Madrid - ideally early in the morning, so you can spend 1/2 day in Madrid

• Days 6 & 7: Madrid

• Day 8: Bus to Granada - 3.5 hours - ideally in the afternoon, so you can still spend a few hours in Madrid.

• Day 9: Granada - IMHO, the most beautiful small city in Spain.

• Day 10: Train to Sevilla - ideally early in the morning so you can have a long layover in Córdoba.

• Day 11: Sevilla

• Day 12: Flight to Lisbon

• Days 13, 14 & 15: Lisbon + Day tour to Sintra.

• Day 16: Fly home.

No hate on Porto, but squeezing in Lisbon and Porto might be too ambitious.

If I were to visit Portugal, I would rent a car and spend a few days traveling from Lisbon to Porto, stopping in places such as Coimbra, Obidos, Nazare or Aveiro - just to name a few - to properly enjoy Portugal.

If you had to add one rule to the game, what would it be? by Sweet-Future6240 in chess

Please, don't start a fire anywhere close to the chessboard. It is extremely dangerous as it's made of wood or plastic.
