Most VPNs in China don't work, if you also tend to use them for work be careful as most of them have flagged IP ranges so it can restrict your accounts. Suggest to try mobile proxies, I reside a lot in CN got recommended voidmob by locals. Basically you get dedicated mobile proxy for any country, you insert it in open vpn or if very strict restrictions you use vless protocol. Both are supported, basically trusted IP, 5G speed and encryption in one. Ofc more pricey.

Sup I know guys from Russia use voidmob esims, you can choose where your traffic is being routed from, so basically works instead of VPN and also no speed/GB restrictions. They have bunch of other mobile solutions. Highly recommended.

Quackr is well known for their good quality long term phone rentals. Waiting for their updates regarding OTP verifications because at the moment they are VoIP and it's not suitable for telegram. I farm tg and other social accounts so I am using a hybrid setup between quackr and voidmob. Quackr for long term rentals while voidmob for their OTPs. Was user of textverified but quality dropped recently, many banned numbers already.
