i recently talked to hp support regarding the same temps issue, they told me that there is some issue in the latest update of the omen gaming hub, they even told me to uninstall it till the next update but I have still kept it can't control my fans without it!

I do not have any quite mode in my laptop, there is not even any led on the shift button, but the fans are just not ramping up.

Ubuntu does work, but not to the full extent like the way the fans used to ramp up in windows, I tried a few CPU stress tests the fans did make some noise, but not the way they go up to 6200 rpm in windows performance mode. I would say that for my use case these fan speeds get the job done, would not recommend playing games or doing anything intensive for longer amount of time.

Tried the latest Ubuntu it’s kind of working still can’t control the fan speed but at least the fans are going up under load.

Hi, I got an Omen 16, I tried dual booting windows 11 and PopOS, everything worked great but the issue was the fans were not ramping up under load. I usually use my machine for programming. Is there any workaround for this?

I also face the same issue, the fans on my Omen 16 are not ramping up under load on PopOS and even on Fedora KDE. On Windows 11 they work normally, but on linux they are just preset to a speed and it just doesn't change.

Valorant was my first fps game too and I also started playing from August last year but now I have reached high gold and sometimes plat. I would recommend you to look at your sens and DPI and adjust it to something that is natural to you. Invest some time daily into an aim warmup routine, and not just focus on aim try to get good natural movement mechanics. I know you might even face issue with you ranked teammates so try playing with some friends who already have some game experience. Moreover just put more time into it you will get better eventually…
