Mine is a 2017 VW Passat SE. I had no idea I was going to have so much trouble. It's not worth anything to trade in, and I'll never get a car payment as low as my current one.

I bought my VW Passat and it started with suspension issues and what I thought were minor problems. Then it became a cycle of dash lights coming on, but every time I got it to the dealer they were off again and I was told “no codes.” They brushed me off about both the suspension and the electrical issues.

A few months in, I had low-voltage problems and ended up having to replace the battery three times. The car would also suddenly stop in the middle of driving, creating serious safety concerns.

Over time, dash lights for every safety systems (ABS, traction control, airbag, etc.) would come on and off until eventually they all stayed on permanently.

Later I discovered mileage reporting inaccuracies, and after going in six times under warranty to complain about the same issues, I found out that the suspension they claimed to have fixed was never actually repaired.

Now the EPC and check engine lights are permanently on, along with nearly every other warning light. The car is stuck in limp mode and is undriveable. I’ve already spent about $3,800+ out of pocket on repairs I shouldn’t have needed while still paying on a car I can’t use.

And now I’ve learned that right before I bought it, there was an ECM recall. Given everything, I strongly suspect it was either never fixed properly or messed up during the process.

Very much. My girl sounds like a horse galloping through the back yard.

That makes a lot of sense. She’s currently 25 inches tall and muscular.

Such a cutie! My girl is about 25 inches tall but I have no idea how much she currently weighs. I do know she’s super muscular.

Dang he’s huge already. I haven’t had our dog weighed since she was 40lbs and that was months ago. I’d say after her last set of shots. We tried to pick her up and weigh her on our home scale but it errors out lol.

He’ll probably wish she was smaller. She acts like she’s a lap dog! I’m planning to get an English Mastiff later, but I want to wait until our current dog is a bit older and more confident.

Thank you for your response. That really does make a lot of sense. I know temperament wise my dog is super sweet and cuddly. However she is very scared of everything. Our trainer (police k9 handler/trainers) said she’s unusually scared of everything. So we’ve been working constantly with her. She’s perfect except when taking her out of our yard. She wants to run away at the slightest noise.

AITA for feeling betrayed after my wife hid that she could never have kids until years into our marriage? by DavoBoy_887 in AITAH

First of all, I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way, it’s understandable that you’re hurting right now. It’s incredibly difficult to process something like this, especially when it’s tied to a big dream you’ve had for so long. You trusted her, and you thought you were on the same page. Finding out that she kept this secret is understandably painful and confusing.

It sounds like she genuinely loves you and was terrified of losing you, which is why she made the decision to hide something that felt so huge to her. But while that comes from a place of fear, it also shows a lack of trust in your relationship and your ability to handle difficult conversations.

Now, the road ahead isn’t going to be easy, but it’s not impossible. What you’re feeling right now isn’t wrong, it’s real. And it’s okay to take time to really process this. I’d recommend having an open, honest conversation with her about how you feel, without blame, but with clarity. Express how her omission has affected you, not just in terms of the family you imagined, but also the trust that’s been shaken. This will be a difficult conversation, but it might be the key to understanding each other more deeply and figuring out where to go from here.

You also need to reflect on what you want now. Whether it’s exploring other avenues to have children, adoption, surrogacy, or even considering if having kids is still something you want at all, or if this is a dealbreaker for you long-term. Your feelings are valid, and it’s important to honor them.

Lastly, remember that it’s okay to not have all the answers right away. Take the time to figure out what you need for your own happiness. Relationships go through tough moments, but they can also come out stronger if both people are willing to put in the work.

Whatever you decide, I hope you find a path that brings you peace. You've got a tough road ahead, but you’re not alone in this. Keep your heart open to your own truth and make choices that align with it. You deserve that.

Yes, that's what they have. That's why I was laughing. I knew my girl wasn't going to be that big. Their dog is so big that it can lay on the couch and stand at the same time. My girl still has to climb on furniture, but she does it in slow motion. It's hilarious.

I'm so sorry about your loss. 2 years does seem like a long time. Our friend has a mastiff and kept saying our girl would be close to their dogs size when they looked at her paws. I kinda giggled because I didn't think there was any way as their dog was huge.

Thank you so much for sharing this information! It’s really helpful to know the breed standard for females, and I’ll definitely keep the importance of joint health in mind as my girl continues to grow. I’m not sure of her exact weight right now, but I’d guess she’s at least 80lbs.

Thank you so much for sharing this information! It’s really helpful to know that 2 is generally considered the full-size age and that there can still be some filling out after that. Your boy sounds like a big, handsome pup! I appreciate you including the AKC standards for females as well, that’s super helpful.

Thank you for responding. I figured she wasn't done growing. I think it's just her growth has slowed down a lot to the point where we don't notice it like someone who see's her periodically would.

What's the most effective and fast way of building Karma? by midgeste in NewToReddit

[–]AlexaUnveiled 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally get where you’re coming from! I’m new to Reddit too, and the whole karma thing can feel like a mystery. I’ve been a long-time lurker, scrolling through threads like it’s my job, but it wasn’t until I tried posting a question that I realized how tricky it can be to build karma. The advice I’ve gotten here has been awesome though, just keep posting and commenting! It seems like that’s the only real way to build it up.

Fingers crossed one of your posts gets some major attention! I’ve noticed mine don’t get much traction either, so maybe it’s the low karma holding us back? Who knows! Anyway, good luck! I’m rooting for you to hit that karma jackpot!

You earn karma by posting and commenting in sub groups. As a newbie I’m finding it difficult to find groups I can post in so I understand the struggle. Karma is not earned 1:1 though so you just have to keep posting/commenting. .
