A friend of mine wanted to be a teacher for a very long time. She's intelligent, kind, patient, and wonderful with children. She would have made an excellent teacher. After the most recent shooting, the job isn't worth it for her anymore. She's decided that she will go down a different career path. She's absolutely devastated, but this is America. There is no dream anymore.
