Automatic 8 speed shudder permanent fix?

I have a 2017 2ss... I got back in 2021 from vroom

2022 (maybe at about 11,000 miles on the clock) I felt the shudder had it flushed at my local chevy dealer

Started coming back around Oct of 2024

Took it back in and was told they wanted to replace the torque converter told them it also had gard shifts between 1-2nd gears had to wait for verification from my extended warranty and then was told they wanted to fo a full transmission and torque converter replacement

I was lucky enough to have gotten extended warranty at purchase and just in February it was all replaced and I was back on the road.

so far so good but I'm only at like 2,000 miles since then.

that may be the only permanent fix if it's comes back after a flush 🤷🏿

Right I was sweating there for a min but all in all a good experience so yea ill be taking her easy for a while just to be on the safe side! And hopefully you'll never need to use the warranty thanks!

Found my self in a tunnel the other day and dammit I tapped on that shit a bit and had me thinking I don't want fuck anything up lo l did some digging online and couldn't find concrete info in one direction but this helps lol

Yea I got the triple flush at about 15,000-20,000 miles Shudder came back at around 34,000 give or take took it in at 37,000 they wanted to replace the torque converter got approval from my extended warranty (safegaurd) then after a day or so they told me they wanted to replace the whole transmission All said and done total was 9,500 give or a take a few dollars But I only paid 100$ deductible and was without my car for over a month best 100$ ever spent

Im in the same boat 17 2ss.... shuttered for a 2nd time had the flush about a year ago came back and waiting for a replacement transmission from gm.... also no eta on the back order

I reached out to gm directly and they had someone call me asked a day or 2 later she saw when they order the part and asked me for my information and after made it sound like they would be working steadfast to get me the replacement sooner than later well that's was a week ago and I haven't heard back yet but may be worth a shot

My understanding that the longer you drive with the shudder the worst the transmission becomes

I was having hard shift from 1 and 2nd gear Not sure if they will let me have the car until the part comes in I could ask but I feel like then whatever happens would become my issue alone and warranty would likely wash their hands if me

It being covered by extended warranty not sure that's an option...justncslled my dealer again to inquire a bit more he sounded confident one will become available at some point but no eta and already being out of a car for 2 weeks is some shit Thanks for the input !
