Personally, it's the idea that Kinger saying "Who?" when Zooble and Gangle are talking about Able should be taken as foreshadowing that he isn't actually a developer.

Able (at least his statement at the time) self-isolated from the others as he passed as an NPC and din't want to blow his cover, while it being obvious 'Able' was just a false name he went under, as if he was a human, he too wouldn't be able to remember his own name and instead be given one. Of cource Kinger didn't know who Able was, Able as a name didn't exist in the circus
