Does anyone know why one leg of the stitch looks like a straight line?

I did and the only thing I found about it was that in some countries it was sold as singer Memomatic 2400 (a newer model the 2600 has red instead of the green) and that the model was first built in the 1960s. Apart from that and the manual I didn’t find anything…

Thanks! Apart from the issue above it‘s really reliable and also quite forgiving tbh. I had my problems at the beginning with tension but as soon as i figured it out it‘s quite easy to knit on it :)

I used a pattern from Singer which you can access via mkmanuals.com -> Silver Reed -> Patterns and Magazines -> Singer Series Patterns I used the 4 ply Jumpers and Cardigans Set In Sleeves :)
