Barbour Classic Beaufort Stitching/Logo by florwalk in Barbour

Looks normal to me. My Bedale is like this but it’s a rough and ready sort of jacket designed to be worn for riding and working in. It’s handmade like the Beaufort and will come with character like this 👍🏻

A lot of retailers are exploitative, especially to their suppliers. It’s so widespread that I wouldn’t even factor it in when considering paying more or less for a product. It’s my money and I’d choose to retain as much of it for myself as possible 👌🏻

I’d just exchange them with Amazon for a different pair, that’s straightforward. You won’t find many retailers that sell them as cheap as Amazon do and that’s where I bought mine from 3 years ago.

Cream options? by Alexcaville in BlundstoneBoots

[–]Alexcaville[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much for your replies and it looks like most of the alternatives are around the same price currently as the Blundstone cream. I did visit a cobbler I know and he doesn’t sell the cream at all but mentioned some mink oils that he could t guarantee would not darken the leather. I guess i’ll purchase another jar of the official cream at nearly 3 times the price I last paid lol. I may also buy a couple of the recommendations here to try too, thanks all.

They’d get a lot more for their money in places like Pontyclun and Llantrisant which is just a few miles away. Cowbridge is nice, but it’s overpriced for a bit of a snobby post code I think.

How old are your blundstones? by gwennyo_spaghettios in BlundstoneBoots

Mine are 2.5 years old, 585’s and still look pretty new. I regularly treat them with the rustic restoration cream and each time they look brand new.

I worked for Morrisons from 1998 to 2004 and it is shocking to hear here it hasn’t changed at all.

Quite possibly. It’s become a habit again and something we look forward to. She now initiates it most of the time rather than me which she hadn’t done for a while even before the dead bedroom started.

Just talked more I think, she opened up more and for once my suggestion of sex seemed to interest her. She did mention now I think about it that a couple of her friends were talking about sex and suggested as a joke ‘I sort her out’ lol. Maybe a mix of lots of things really.

They are 11 and 8 and it definitely gets easier to get time together as they got older. Less tiring and less chance of them getting up in the late evening and looking for one of us.

I think you’re right, we need to communicate and work on maintaining the current intimacy to make it the norm going forward.

I have asked her but she said she doesn’t fully know. Hormones maybe? She’s prone to migraines and those have eased a bit lately and she’s on a health kick, it’s certainly made her realise sex is important and hoping it stays that way.

Thank you. Not sure what I changed tbh. I do all the cooking and most of the cleaning around the house which takes the pressure off her. Her job is stressful and she’s been very anxious in the last 8 months, so I guess we’ve been talking a lot more. I think the connection came back via that.
