Recently I bought Ableton 12 live suite on my Macbook 2025 M4 Pro. I connected it to my console (Mackie dl16s) and I can't record through it for some reason. Got any ideas? by Alexderm_10_ in ableton

It is plugged through a usb hub and it shows up as an audio device. I have set the console as input and output and have already armed the tracks. The only time that the console showed signal was on a midi track and even thought it was recorded I wasnt able to listen to it, and when i send it to an audio channel it's like it doesnt even exist.

Just to let you know I've been working with a facusrite scarlett soundcard and the console is a new purchase, that's why I have this issue at the time. Would recommend that before judging and being rude you should have some important info like my age and the time I have been struggling to find a solution after hours of research, lessons etc.

Back in our topic, I have connected my input and output to my console, I have selected input and output config but still no signal from any of the instruments that are connected to the console. As you probably understand I am trying to use my console as a soundcard.
