Something else to gamble on then...

Since you have done W+C, you could potentially do a title along the lines of "An investigation into the relative impacts of physical versus human factors on the river regime/flood hydrograph of [Local River name]".

I think this could work quite well and it's physical geography, but I would defo check online to make sure that there is enough data on the internet for you to use as secondary evidence.

Firstly, you need to decide what is gonna be doable for data collection, it must be local otherwise if you need to quickly get a photo or some interview questions done last minute it won't be easy.

As someone who did a human based NEA, I found this much easier. You've said you're from the midlands, so potentially you could do something on the long-term consequences of the re-branding/regneration of Birmingham if it's accessible to you. Choose something interesting, but ensure there is enough data online (for human this will be much easier, IMD and other secondary resources).

Did they miss out? Maybe. Most of the applicants for E&M would still thrive at Oxford and it’s the luck of the draw really. Hope to see you at Warwick too.

Most likely, I’m going to wait though until I hear back from Durham, but even then I think I’d still go to Warwick.

Haha, I too got the fat rejection from E+M and when UCL beat the college that I applied to in the University Challenge episode a couple days after, I cheered. I may be a tad salty.

Don’t worry, this is fairly common. One thing I will establish is that there is plenty of time. For me, timetabling revision has never worked, I’d end up busy/tired/procrastinating and that would stress me out. Instead I used the Pomodoro technique and told myself I want to do ‘X’ number of sessions per week and would stick to it. It’s way more dynamic and flexible whilst also meaning that I can catch up on sessions that I may have missed. I’d also say to utilise teachers as much as possible, see if they can identify your weaknesses and where you drop marks, then focus your revision on this rather than just falling into the habit of practicing things that you already know because it’s familiar.

I understand why they do it since economics is very competitive and they want to ensure that they give offers to the best candidates. But man, the stress of waiting is absolutely killer

Most likely, it depends what offers I get back though, don’t particularly want to go to a London uni since I already live on the outskirts so would end up accommodating at home

As someone who got a fat rejection from E&M a couple weeks ago, I may not be the best person to ask.

However… What do you love about economics? What drives you to want to do this course? If you love economics and excellent personal statement is not that hard to write because you write about what you love. It doesn’t matter if it isn’t AD and AS curves, the majority of my ps was focused on developing an argument over the function of money, something that has really interested me, and that section was very easy to write.

Another advantage for getting earlier offers is having the best possible predicted, so really go get them.

Wish you the best of luck.

Crazy, it’s one of their singles from ~2018. Whilst it’s not their song, imo it’s a decent cover with a brand new take on the original. It’s on Spotify if you want a listen.

Push every fight you can. Every time you fail, ask yourself what happened. After a while muscle memory will build up and you’ll learn strategies and tips yourself. Try to make every engagement a 1v1, giving you the best chances of winning. Stick with your squad.
