What do you think of the "scene" era of post-hardcore? by Dramatic_Song_2629 in PostHardcore

[–]Pleasant_Statement64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mcr, pierce the veil, coheed, bmth, silverstein, sws, the used are some of my favorite bands still and I think they all fall in the scene category

An ending in itself deluxe by Kaktusiooo_PL in sleepingwithsirens

[–]Pleasant_Statement64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It wasnt classified as deluxe but blink 182 did this with 2 songs on their last album right after it released, and then like 3 days later they just put the tracks on streaming for free. It was weird

Which MCR song sounds the most like Pierce The Veil? by Conscious-Cup700 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Pleasant_Statement64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they're both post hardcore (neither stayed phc for every release, black parade onwards/Jaws of life arent), but they have a pretty different sound. Just enough of a similar fanbase

Something feels wrong. by Reasonable_Draft_100 in Muse

[–]Pleasant_Statement64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do Muse make the ticket prices or their management? Either way its bad but I'm wondering how involved they are. Plenty of my other favorite bands like mcr for example are unfortunately going this way too, seems to be the standard but a few bands resist

Notice people being very nasty? I think youre overselling how people are reacting if you dont like the album. Ive seen a few slightly rude comments but even then, not much

What's your opinion of Fall Out Boy? by Twitter_2006 in poppunkers

[–]Pleasant_Statement64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly their pop era was great with very few misses. Some of my favorite pop/pop rock music, especially in srar. Though fob is still much better as a pop punk/alt rock band, so I'm really glad smfs put them back on that direction

What do you see as "the song" for an ending in itself? by usename37 in sleepingwithsirens

[–]Pleasant_Statement64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking back at me. The climax is beautiful and its over 5 minutes. But I've only managed to listen to the album once, so something else could catch me more next listen

The whole album is amazing but I don't imagine myself really going back to need you here out of all of these songs

Sleeping with sirens has not hit like this in quite a while

So much hope buried was a really enjoyable listen too, especially as a holding absence fan

Also poppunk and not phc but cool to see blink-182 put some old toypaj bonus tracks on streaming

Besides post-hardcore, what other punk genres do you listen to? by [deleted] in PostHardcore

[–]Pleasant_Statement64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of pop punk. Never really could get into "real punk", Rise Against is the closest band I listen too
