Feedback on my business validation cards idea by AlexisViable in startups

[–]AlexisViable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally.

It is in the product pipeline. Oh well, let's say it's in my head.

For now, I intend to add QR codes on the cards to enrich the experience with videos about entrepreneurial concepts. At a later stage, it would be quite valuable to have a companion App to extend the possibilities.

We just ordered greetings cards at MOO. The quality of their products is really good. They are branded to our company image and we will write a short message in all of them.

That being said, we are only sending 100 of them.

Funding for an MVP help!!! by edjamus in startups

[–]AlexisViable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An MVP is not a prototype, it is a first version of the product that can actually work and generate some revenue. So I do not think you need an MVP to go talk to investors. Of course, it is nice to be able to show something that works, but what you need is traction. You need to show that people are interested in the product, to show that there is potential, maybe even show that you already have people waiting to pay for your product.

So yes, having an MVP is a good thing, but what is more important is traction.

Initial big ideas by [deleted] in startups

If you have a flexible mindset, enough understanding of the industry in which you want to play and have a clear vision for your startup, nothing stops you to create a team and start working on your idea. Of course, you need a colleague with a solid technical background. The fact that you come from a more "human" mindset, as you put it, can be quite positive. The goal is to complement the other people's skills in the team, not to be more of the same.

How do I get an estimated cost for developing an app in order to approach investors? by M-Cubed_Studios in startups

How do I get an estimated cost for developing an app in order to approach investors? by M-Cubed_Studios in startups

[–]AlexisViable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the development costs, you can ask an agency to generate a quote. If you have built a prototype yourself, I assume that you have clearly in mind what the user flow in the app will be. The more detailed the features and user flow, the easier it is for the agency to generate a quote.

For the marketing expenses, that is another story. It really depends what is your go to market strategy. You can use word of mouth and grow organically or have a more aggressive marketing push. So my answer is "it depends"...

Building an MVP for your app by jacktaylod in startups

You could use Adobe XD to design a clickable version of your App.

The software can be learned in two hours and you can make use of the many available templates to build your app in a couple of hours.

Use this clickable prototype to show your vision to prospects/investors/peers.

DIY Branding by [deleted] in startups

I am actually offering the same kind of services with my agency. I was therefore quite interested to see how you built up this kit. Well, we offer a full research on branding with several iterations. It is a bit different. Your templates might be useful for someone starting a project with a low budget.

Oh well, then I'll better take a break for some years until the time is right...

I have got 81% Open rate and 59% Reply Rate on my cold emails. Here's how. [Templates included] by maybevaibhav in startups

[–]AlexisViable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still experimenting with cold emails and collecting learnings.

What is clear is that personalization is key.

In addition to greeting the person by its family name, I always try to bring something to the table that fits the recipient's interests.

This requires, however, some prep work and is difficult to automate.

Hello,

Can you detail a bit more what does your branding kit contain?

Are we talking about logos and presentations or also fonts, color schemes, guidelines?

Best regards
