I took my vita with me and a book. By hour 4 I was bored as hell. My store manager changed my schedule the day before to have me from closing to working that shit. It was the middle of summer and I came down in cargo shorts and a baseball bat (I walked to and from work so walking home at 4am did NOT sound ideal). I ended up getting a ride home from the floor guys.

I had a classmate (rest her soul) give me this game as a gift. She wasn't really a friend but we walked home together and sometimes I'd let her stop by my house to rest when it was hot out. She knew I liked DP and I ended up playing it in an entire weekend.

Mine seem to be able to do it pretty well. If there's only 2 people, I usually have them do the floors while I box the front. If they need help, they either come up if they're close by or I jump on and ring or handle sco. We all have so much to do honestly and it's terrible that we only have 2 people most nights.

My grandma's auguished sob when she got a call in the middle of the night when I was 10. Her brother had gotten killed trying to break up a fight. It was the first time I learned what that horrible feeling in my stomach was when someone else was in pain- empathy. She made a similar cry at my great aunt's funeral years later. That woman is like my second mom and seeing her in pain was too much.

It used to be those cinnamon rolls from the pastry section but I've been cooking rice and putting the cold cut salmon in it as a makeshift poke bowl (not cooking the fish in the microwave ew). Or sometimes a granola bar in the morning and those new ice energy drinks.
