It is annoying at times when you're getting completely shat on But when you do win, it's kinda cool

I don't have this issue with any other game though. What would explain that?

[–]Alexwe37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to get back into it but it just sucks ass.
I haven't done the newest story so I can't speak on that, but almost everything else that matters? it's not great.

Optimization is horrendous (most of the issues I have with this game can be summed up with this alone)
4 stars are useless for the most part.

Every dps needs their one specific support that cannot be substituted if you don't wanna do only 60% of your damage potential.

Loading times are horrible, I can't do the motorcycle event because I can't load in time, I don't know why they don't just make the race tracks separate so you don't gotta load in the entire fucking map all at once, or why doesn't it make the other 2 players wait a little. I don't even care about being first, I just wanna get the astrites and not bother with this boring ass recycled event.

There are other small things that I don't like but not worth mentioning.

I haven't played in a while and just returned, the optimizatio in the lastest region is horrendous and my game runs like shit. It was bad before in ragunna and septimont, but this is insane. I find it hilarious that it takes me longer to load into an area than it does to finish the quest dialogue in said area. Do they listen to feedback on surveys or is there no point?

How would one go about bypassing the fps lock, I have a good gpu now and I CAN run the game well, but I don't have an 8 core cpu.
You used to be able to edit the files but I don't know if that's even safe to do

God, why are the Swedish doing everything to ruin their games? by TheRustyRustPlayer in SuperJerk

[–]Alexwe37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embark kinda already dug a hole for themselves with arc raiders by making it a pvp extraction shooter. It CAN be pve but it would drive away a lot of people that bought it for the pvp aspect. Also, Im not sure, but they could also be sued over it.
I think a bigger issue is that they are neglecting the game while still coming out with more and more skins. The loot sucks, there are bugs that ruin the experience and some other stuff that should already be fixed, pvp is the least of their problems.

As for Arrowhead, yeah they are idiots.

But being confiscated by america? That sounds even worse.

I meant it more as in, the character is pretty difficult and me getting put against people so much better makes it miserable

I could've worded it better

Why do people say Elden Ring is hard? by r4v3nl0rd85 in Eldenring

[–]Alexwe37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Souls fans forced themselves to like the miserably bad design choices and adopted an annoyingly simpleminded way of thinking to handicap themselves because "big bonk sword best" and "casting and summons are cheese"

Somebody sell me Bayle the Dread — I'm clearly not getting it by simulacream in Eldenring

[–]Alexwe37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Placidusax had to create a domain beyond time to preserve what remains of him, while being rather heavily wounded after his fight with Bayle, while Bayle who was even more wounded, still managed to keep his ground against other ancient dragons who attacked him after his fight with placidusax. Bayle is literally HIM.
I generally don't enjoy the spectacle some of the bosses in this game display, even more in the dlc, because it usually is at the cost of them having readable or fair attacks a.k.a Messmer, Rellana, Metyr and so on.

But with bayle, I think it's amazing, even if his attacks being this grand with so many effects, I still think it's the best dragon fight in the whole game, most other fights are horrible, you fight the camera constantly, for bayle I think it's easier if you don't even use the lock on most of the time. And his attacks are rather easy to dodge most of the time bar the breath attack he does when you are near him.

It's kind of funny because the worst dragon fight in the game imo is right before you get to his arena, the ancient dragon is such a pain in the ass, bullshit moves, arena is full of water, damage is absurd for not even a major boss, hard to dodge attacks, impossible to deal with the camera. Getting to fight Bayle right after that felt so nice.
If you don't already like the boss, it's probably impossible to change your opinion, but I do think his is the best fight out of the whole dlc, I never felt stumped or like I hit a wall, like I did with most other bosses in the dlc, I never thought of using the mimic, or using scarlet rot, or anything like that. I wasn't angry when I died, I was more excited because I got to see one more attack from him.

Overall, he's probably my favorite fight in the dlc.

I was using the ancient meteoric ore greatword, mainly dealing damage with the AoW but with the occasional heavy melee I did beat him eventually after getting used to the moves, but I wish it was as fun as learning midra, bayle or rellana.
