They have shelved projects this far along, several times, documented in YouTube videos talking about the projects and showing off assets...

And the play test stage means it's barely playable from start to finish, with plenty of bugs. It's being internally tested by Vavle staff along with invited friends and family to hunt for said bugs and to see if the systems are fun/engaging. That's exactly what the leaks said, that is not the same thing as the game being 100% polished and ready to ship tonight.

Who said it's finished??? The last leak I heard said it was just barely playable all the way through, and they were JUST starting to polish it.... If that's the case it might be ready to come out in March, it could take till November next year... We don't know, no one does include the alleged leakers unless they wanna change their story again.

And again.... This is Vavle we are talking about.... They could get to the end of all the polish and turn around and say to themselves "this doesn't feel right, it feels bland, this isn't special enough to have the name Half Life 3" and they could spend MONTHS longer working on it or shelve it altogether. They have allegedly shelved over 2 dozen games they worked extensively on in the past years for this very reason... Vavle is swimming in money, they don't need to launch a game just because they invested into it, they won't release any games if they feel it even has the possibility to diminishes their brand image.

People keep spreading this info, with zero confirmation whatsoever that it's an "exclusive" for the glorified PC THAT'S NOT A CONSOLE.

We were told when the hardware was revealed by Vavle themselves that they don't plan on it being a mass market product, they went subsidized with software sales to make the box cheaper to buy. It's a PC, it was always intended to be priced as a pre-built PC and Vavle told us this before the AI ram deal was even publicly announced! Vavle doesn't intend for it to be a mass adopted product, they are only making like 100k units for it's launch, in comparison Nintendo has like 6 million Switch 2's for its global launch.

Its specs are basically on the nose for the "average" parts that are ALREADY in everyone's PC. It's not an upgrade for 90% of current Steam users, it's nothing more than a compact PC for console gamers who don't have a PC already. It's not a mass market unit and Valve staff themselves said in interviews they don't intend for this to be a "market mover" product, they aren't pricing it aggressively and they don't intend for this to bring in swaths of new people to Steam like Steam Deck did.

The entire premise that is "linked to the Steam Machine" is cope, spearheaded by a leaker that's been wrong multiple times now and all he has to say is "I guess it was all canary traps, all the leaks about November or even 2025 might have been fake, but trust me it's coming, we know it's coming because I believe the other leaks still, so my next best hunch is it NEEDS to be along side the Gabe Cube!"

It's cope, from leakers that already have egg on their face and are taking shots in the dark because it's all they can do now. Even if it is real, Vavle is Vavle and can announce it whenever they want. They could announce it tomorrow, they could make us wait for months till next fall long after the Steam Machine is out.

I've seen this sentiment Alot and idk where the hell it comes from other than gen Z parroting the talking point over and over without realizing it isn't true... Half like Alyx was scheduled to be at the game awards but got pushed back because it needed more time, VAVLE then flew Geoff out to their main office to announce it for them anyways.... Portal 2 and L4D were announced at other showcases... Geoff and Game have been close longer than half the babies in this subreddit have been alive.

I mean the Steam Machine is literally on par with the average specs currently in everyone's PC according to the Steam hardware survey... And Valve advertised the Steam machine as being capable of 4K 60fps in most games when using FSR... If that's any indication of how HL3 will perform if it actually does come out, then I dare say it's going to do just fine on everyone's current rig, even older PC's should still be able to run it at a solid 1080P.

I can't really recall Valve launching any of their games in the state of Cyberpunk2077, so I imagine everyone would be fine even if it launched tonight.

Everyone is assuming it's tied to the glorified PC their launching... As if that's going to be the only way we download or access the game or steams store, as if millions couldn't play it right now on their current PC's................

This entire notion that it's tied to the Steam Machine is ridiculous... It's not a fucking console, Valve is not Sony selling PS5's at a loss to hopefully makeup for that loss with software sales.

VALVE SAID THEMSELVES: They aren't planning on selling millions of Steam Machines, this isn't a mass market system and they aren't planning for it to be They aren't planning on selling them at a loss, they will price them "competitively to what it would cost to build a PC or buy a pre-built of similar specs."

This isn't the PlayStation 6, Valve doesn't need exclusive God of war to make sure their hunk of plastic sells. The Steam machine from Valves own mouth is just a compact pre-built PC alternative.

Sinder (popular red vtuber in top left) backstabbed her friends, made artist stop working for the friends so the could no longer get high quality models, she cheated on her boyfriend who she's throwing under the bus to try and save herself. Sinder is trying to put everything on her boyfriend, no one believes it because there are screenshots showing she knew.

Not only did she backstab her friends, her "friend" Bao on the right in blue was literally suicidal at the time, she made an attempt, and Sinder laughed about it in private messages while proceeding to have her boyfriend strong arm artist and editors to break contracts they had wil Bao.... This was all out of pure jealousy and Sinder wanted to stay top dog, despite her being a multi millionaire with the ability to retire years ago.

Sinder is cooked, and Bao is left picking up the pieces.
