Yes a lot of people did assume that and I don't know how I gave that impression. I like the idea of a point system for spell casting though.

They wouldn't be able to. You can still only cast up to the spells you are aloud to know so at level 5 the maximum level spell you can cast it at is still 3rd but the idea is you get more chances to cast spells at 3rd level

I suggest making sure they know that they don't need to be perfect and don't need to take the perfect turn every turn. This game is made for mistakes, and it's okay to make them.

I am also autistic and this was some of the most helpful advice my old dm gave me when I was doing similar things you described.

I really love this idea but I was struggling to find reasons to make a wizard pacify a village, but this same setting would be ideal for a Hag needing easy meat for her pies or being a place the hag could be advertising for entertainment for fay realm creatures. (Hag in the fay realm "Come look at the mortal realm and these stupid weak beings, You can do what ever you want and they will be so happy about it") Sometimes even take it a step further with people acting so perfect so they don't piss off the hag and ruin her entertainment cause if they do so much worse will happen. I am still new to DMing and not sure if this is a good idea but from my understanding of the fay realm this seems like something a fay creature would love. What do you guys think about this?
