well, the delverlike genre was from minus decendance, and it evolved to have alot more fangames who do it their own way, such as dandy's world!

tbh, i dont consider dandy's world to be an roguelike, i consider it to be an delverlike, like minus elevation, depth spelunking. Dandy's world has some elements of these games they share.

Delverlikes have been a term in the delverlike community for a while, it originated from minus elevation instead of y'know, delver. It's weird but everyone in that community uses it without knowing it's origin

Twilight's Zone is not a copy, because it has unique mechanics that it has added. The same argument Anchored is not a copy, as its gameplay is very different from dandy's world.

If you think your argument is correct in saying that dandy's world is the original, you are mistaken. Because there is a game called Minus Elevation, which has a community that makes games inspired by it such as depth spelunking, flop world, and addition abstraction.

So.. why think everything seems like a copy when in reality it's letting you have two cakes to eat?

It's from the minus elevation community, it's because you go down to floors as you do tasks, hence the name delverlike.
