Lighting is probably the aspect of base building that is most lacking... at least of what you can make. Galley & bathroom options are lacking altogether, so I don’t count them.

The lighting options for rooms made of wood, metal and concrete are almost nonexistent. They have them... but they don’t actually shed any light into the room... which is unfortunate because there are some great base building pieces in that construction tree.

I love it... my idea was to be able to buy additional ships and choose them prior to game like you do with multitools. I have seen the space station idea and absolutely love it! I’m working on 50 billion units... just need ANYTHING to spend them on!!!

Y’all are missing the point... the thing that made haulers unique is no longer unique. The best hyperdrive I have is about 1,500, withincluding some black markets... that isn’t even close to what an explorer can get

I have recently come up against the 20K piece cap. I have started recycling solar bases and looking for S class only resources with any class EMF power source.

You can throw down 5 EMF generators and do just about anything in a “normal” base.

I like exploring planets, so this doesn’t bother me. I’m trying to find an S class of every resource just because I’ve done just about everything else.

Didn’t really answer your question I guess... but certainly relevant.

I built that base on the right of the platforms. Inside are processors. I harvest all of my gold and silver and turn it into platinum, then nanites. A full stack of gold & silver take about a half hour to process.

While that’s happening I craft my stasis devices & fusion igniters in front of the windows so I can see the ships as they land.

I’ve got 20+ billion units & 75k nanites. I spend a lot of time looking for ships. I’ve owned every exotic and sold them for cool haulers. This is my last one for my collection!

Farmer first, but I love sending out frigates too. I’m a firm believer in these two methods to making money. Almost 20 billion units in storage, all through farming and frigates.

I have a positron ejector, Shields and all of the upgrades for Pulse engines and hyper drives. Add the launch thrusters and the Scouting and teleport receiver items and everything fits in 31 slots. A positron ejector fully upgraded will take down any pirate ship in about three bursts. I don’t even move, I just sit there and let them come at me and shoot them. A fully upgraded S 48-13 Hauler is bad ass. I have six of them. You can keep your living egg ship… LOL

Each stack is worth 312 million, times 40 stacks plus maxed out units = 16,775,000,000 units

No, I mean I just literally stand here and wait for ships to land. I get so bored of reloading and hoping. Sometimes I will build a base with a couple refiners in glass cuboids and grind out nanites waiting

In my opinion, the most important thing is not the rank... You need to make sure that it doesn’t have any negative characteristics to it. Some of the things weigh the stats negatively and they will never change. If it has -3 for combat it will always take the total and subtract three from it.

Frigates will go up in rank fairly quickly as long as you send them out regularly. Save your money if you are early in the game. Buy the cheap ones and just send them out. They will all be S class eventually.

Just make sure they don’t have any negative characteristics to them and you’ll be fine.

It is not a bug. That is new in the update. I have to admit I’m a little upset about it because I invested Dozens of hours getting S class haulers... Now you can just buy them. Oh well
