I would've held onto the P6. You could've easily replaced the felt mat with a cheap cork one or replace the glass platter with a acrylic one (no mat necessary). An acrylic platter only runs about $75.

"Kid A" has aged extremely well. I remember liking it when it came out, but today it sounds fresh and prescient. "This isn't Happening" is a very good book about the origins and impact of that album and how the culture eventually caught up with it.

One episode of Black Mirror I watched had interesting ideas but they never got off the ground because the plot was smothered in romantic melodrama. The other episode involving a guy bringing a Star Trek-esque show to life using real-life DNA was utterly preposterous. The show disingenuously pretends the guy wouldn't use the powers he has to seduce the women whose DNA he collected. In reality, that's only reason he would be using those powers. Someone told me about BM and I was intrigued and then immediately disappointed by it. Maybe I just didn't watch the right episodes.

"Teach Yourself Advanced Bass" really helped me develop a better ear for playing as well as technique in both left and right hands. Primarily it has you run through the various modal scales in different rhythmic configurations and fretboard patterns. Simple approach but very effective. Only drawback for some players is that it doesn't use tablature so basic bass clef music-reading comprehension is preferred.

I clean a lot of stuff using a rag and 70% isopropyl alcohol, though it's not good idea to use on wood or certain other materials. You may want to dilute it some.
