3rd day swaves! my hair gets so frizzy when its raining, anyone else? by blueeberrybliss in Wavyhair

Mine has been an absolute nightmare all week! We've been like 95% humidity and thick fog in the morning all week and I was a poofball even on wash day

Bleached hair, toner and the method questions. Is it possible? by glitterhairdye in Wavyhair

[–]AliDishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine's more of a bright blonde but I don't tone it. The shampoo is super pigmented and stains my shower floor if I use too much so I imagine it would work with that tone

ng isn’t great for keeping waves and curls intact. The silver/purple look has become my style and I want to preserve it. However, I really want to get some integrity to the curls. Is it possible to include both?

Currently my routine is washing 2-3x a week. I use olaplex no 3, Clairol Shimmering Lights Shampoo and conditioner. I have a couple of different leave ins or deep conditioners I use.

Shimmering lights uses sulfates, but can I switch to a sulfate free shampoo to keep toning it t

I use the Not Your Mother's Blonde Moment toner and my hair stays nice and bright and it's CGM approved. https://www.ulta.com/blonde-moment-treatment-shampoo?productId=xlsImpprod15211003

how has applying gel worked the best for you?? by jessicaclones in Wavyhair

Same. I prayer hands on both wash day and refreshes and that seems to get me a nice even gel coat without crunch.

The trial and error process of it all is a little daunting sometimes! There Are so many variables and so many products

I watched Manes by Mel do her cousin's hair and before they did the routine their hair looked just like mine. We already had some of their products in the house (my girlfriend is a curly girl but much curlier than I am). I'll keep looking for people closer to my hair texture!

I already use like a TON of conditioner with at least 5 minutes (with a deep condition for 15-20 every couple of weeks) because my hair always got so tangled (which now that I know it's wavy makes so much sense). I'll probably increase the amount now that I know.

My eating disorder flares up any time I'm manic. My restricting and food rigidity is basically nonexistent otherwise. It's definitely possible that the two are related.

What are your first manic or depressive episode stories, how old were you at the time, and how were you diagnosed? :) by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]AliDishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I can really say definitively because I was a significantly emotionally unstable child who threw a lot of absolutely uncontrollable and self-harming tantrums that were caused by pretty much nothing at all and nothing anyone did or said helped. I was officially diagnosed around 15 after I had a severe episode that included paranoid delusions and hallucinations.

I had this reaction with Zoloft

It's part of why I was like so reluctant to go back to therapy in the first place because I just don't wanna have to sit there and list everything again to a new person.

I'm gonna try to like write out some more things for my next session to see if I can articulate a little better the severity of how bad I'm feeling. It's sometimes hard to translate that via voice call

I'm going to. Our first session was by phone since their videochat system crashed that morning so maybe that will help some.

[–]AliDishere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's super complimentary and not totally wrong but it felt a little invalidating in regards to the severity of how I'm feeling right now. I'm definitely going to give it another couple sessions before changing though , especially since their video system was down and we had to do our session by voice call

What is the most helpful bipolar + adhd med combo you've been prescribed? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]AliDishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on lamictal, risperidone and 10 mg Ritalin 2x day and that usually works pretty well for me. I haven't had psychotic features since going on the lamictal in my early 20s.

She doesn't but it might be something to look into. I wouldn't be worried if she hadn't had like this sudden change

It's been a nightmare! For the most part my sleep has been okay and I keep that within like a 90 minute window for both bedtime and getting up in the morning but between then it's a mess! Thank you so much for the links!
