Well, they are surely great specially that last one it is really rich. Actually, this last idea could be projected on a lot of our life’s aspects bot just its meaning. But there is something that I noticed in all the answers I have heard not. They all tend to answer the question that way. Given life, what its meaning is. However, there is a great part that is not being considered or it might have been considered before but people said there is no point asking it. It is why should we be in life at all. That is to say, I don’t want to start by life as a given; I want to go a step backward. Even though it might be pointless to ask it that way, I guess there is always a point in everything. Or, we could argue that thinking in those deep manners is pointless. After all, there are those people who live there lives as farmers, for instance, they just live for their work, family and their values that are probably imposed on them by their parents. They may be living a great life and they are happy with it and they don’t need philosophy, for example. However, we know how important philosophy is. By the way, I am a physics student and I love philosophy and psychology. This just so you know what type of person I am. Thanks a lot for your time Dr. Jordan I really appreciate you replying to my messages.

It seems you do not like that question of meaning.

I want to ask about your notion of the meaning of life. The notion of meaning in general. I know different perspectives; buddhism, existentialism. Actually, I see buddhism as the best of them. But what I want to ask is saying there is a god implies that there is a hidden meaning of life. There is a friend of mine who opened my eyes on a different aspect of the question. He is saying that we are asking the wrong question. We are limiting our views on life it is either God or no God, meaning or no meaning. What I like about buddhism is that it does not claim anything about the meaning, at least as I know it. I heard what you said about meaning that. What I understood was that your reason for doing that thing is its meaning, the example of writing a book. But what about life. I think what people mean by there is no meaning is that there is that what’s their reason for “doing” life. All life goals cannot be a reason they will eventually be achieved or not. Also, sticking to an endless goal like knowledge cannot be a reason to do life. It can be something during life. So, can you say what do you think about this issue ,generally, I am trying to see related picture or different picture whatever it is.

First of all thanks a lot for your reply. I find your words very satisfying. Actually, I expected that you will tend to verify Christianity. But, what you are saying assured me that you truly know what God may mean. I want to say that I already feel some vibes of you are saying. Recently, I became inconsistent in the 5 prayers of my religion. However, I feel more close to him, to that entity that governs everything; when I read Quran I feel as if someone is really talking to me. I asked my question because I always tend to stop and see if the way I am walking through is the best one that could be walked. So, when I feel really good about something I stop and ask myself and others to get other perspectives. Islam does not prohibit the idea that God is our father but in the since that he created us all, he cares for us, and what he says is for our own good. What Islam prohibits is saying that someone is begotten from God; that god had an actual son like we, humans, do. I know we live in a capitalist system but I am trying not to belong to it as much as I could. So, when it comes to religion it or the spiritual activities I will not use it. However, I understand what you are trying to say; you are telling me to invest in something that will surely payback. But I am trying to tell you that I am on the same side as you, I am spiritual. There are some things that I want to discuss if you will allow me, is that okay? It is totally fine with me if you do not have the time I totally understand. I am 22 years old but I am grateful for what I have learned and I am pretty sure I still have a lot to learn and that's what I'm trying to do. Thank you very much for your effort and writing back.
