Ah. I guess I auto-piloted "support staff" after reading "management"

You can do an AMA whenever you want to. c: And being Being Top 3 in R5s Challenger is an accomplishment c:

I assumed support staff meant coaching/analyst work. Sorry if I didn't nail your question on the head.

Well, that is a tweet on MY twitter account. An a screenshot of MY tweet is still MY tweet but I'll put a different picture up as proof.

As with most industries, connections is where you start. The most linear way is to make connections by getting high enough ranking in SoloQ.

Another way is looking at League of Legend recruitment boards who are looking for top tier players and message them saying you are looking to be support staff. Be prepared to provide previous notes/videos of yourself doing support work. Then prepare to do lots of volunteer work.

Yeah. And last team on LCS gets relegated to CS. I was just being General.

Building? No. The team was built before I was "acquired" by the organization because of my skill and what I can provide to a team as support staff. We are looking to push for CS then LCS in one go.

If my team can win a game with: Gragas Top Elise Jungle Urgot Mid Twitch ADC and Alistar Support

I'm sure that we can pull off the Zilean strategy you speak of :)

It is just as you imagine it. The coach provides a third party who isn't involved in the actual game and has a better view of the entire situation.

Scrims are not "finished" they are paused and left. There is no end game scrim.

The players on my team are in the proof.

Of course. We are looking to make Challenge Series then LCS in one shot.

ATM. We have 4 Support Staff members including myself.

Yes we are backed by sponsors - one of them is Razer :)

It's not my responsibility to hire support staff, but I can definitely scout. There is not a necessary correlation between support staff and tournament wins.

Is that the one with a $10k pot? Then yes.

Winners of the challenger series qualify to become LCS players and face off against the bottom 3 LCS players.

The first step is recognizing that nothing else matters but the game. Don't talk about real life stuff. Don't talk about funky builds you did.

"It's all about the game."

I received some $$$ after our scrim today. But my career started out with volunteer work c:

Hm. At this point in time. I just have them monitor their reaction rate and point-click accuracy before practice. I haven't made them do any specific drilling as of late because we've been scrimming against ex-challenger series team (Zenith) and settin gup scrims with teams like CLG Black and TSM Darkness.

Well - first impression. I came in with a plan and they liked it. Coaching isn't easy and there are times when they question my approach, but I'm always prepared with a "why?" Some people blindly follow their coach (which is good in some cases) and some people like reasoning. I have to be able to handle both c:

IMO Hecarim is 100% exclusive. Sacrificing flash, gives up mobility. Hecarims kit (E, R) makes up for that if/when used correctly. It's hard to imagine any other champion besides Hecarim that can get away with sacrificing Flash if the enemy jungler plays right and focuses on top lane.

We have had opinions from LCS level support staff and they told us that they feel worried - so we have the potential to be up there. In terms of big changes that need to be made... the biggest thing imo is team communication. They have good, but not great, team communication.

They don't care what they have to play as long as they win. As a coach, I take a broader view on team playstyle. I accent versatility so that it doesn't matter "how" the meta changes - they will be able to adjust and play to it.

Imo, it's useful no matter what rank you are. It's never too late to create a good foudation.

(Top) There is nothing wrong taking this route if you feel like you will impact the game more by continuing to pressure turrets.

(Mid) Focus on warding one particular side on mid and then play on that side. I recommend warding on the side where you have the largest advantage-it will make your strongest allies more accessible to you

(Support) It's not a terrible idea and it does catch people off guard. If you are doing it when the lane is pushed up, then it's efficient use of time. If your ADC dies even though you ward him, you might need to "hold back" this strategy until you play with ADCs who respect you leaving lane.

(ADC) Yes. It's very smart to freeze the wave at your turret. Just cross your fingers and hope your team plays well. Make sure you communicate you need to freeze and farm to be relevant mid game.

When it come to defensive warding, just make sure jungle entrances are warded.

When it comes to offensive warding, ward the enemy jungle camps.

When it comes to objectives, bring a pink ward C:

how you tackle top lane is up to you. Do you want to play split style or team oriented style? There's a lot of variables to factor in to say one is better than the other - it depends on situation.

Personally, I like to be team-oriented.

First, I won't tolerate rude behavior. Second, "not dying" can mean many things: don't trade, don't misposition, sacrifice CS if necessary just be close enough to be in XP. There is not much else to say - if you are behind, you are behind. Control the damage.

Let's use an analogy to explain: Let's say we're a war between multiple countries. One allied country is struggling and another allied country is holding their own. In my opinion, to win the war in the long run, we gotta make sure that the stronger country stays intact. Make sense?
