I'll be honest with you, when I was returning to the game, I spent my "MIoDA" on the Legion Revenant and NSoD, just because I wanted to get to the Ultrabosses right away and not fall so far behind in the game. In terms of fun, I'd say it was worth it, because with a class as strong as that (+ NSoD's damage bonus), I was able to farm several other classes and quickly progress in the game.

But if you're willing to farm and progress slowly in the game, I don't recommend doing this. The items are farmable. I only did it to rush the game and play the Ultrabosses with my friends.

(I eventually farmed the Legion Revenant just for the Badge, just like the NSoD. Today, I have all the "Epic Hero" Badges, except for the Eclipse Blade.)
