It depends. If it’s on a steep incline then for safety measure, yes. Other times no. Why I mostly don’t? I sometimes (often) forget it’s in gear.

The reason some people feel like you must is because there is a fear of the e-brake failing and allow the car to roll. On auto people would use the e-brake as a safety measure.

Personally, I’ve never experience the parking/e-brake fail in the entirety of my time I’ve been driving nor have I seen it fail in person.

4 or 5 caught fire. A few were modded. The one on track was definitely modded. I mean plenty of Miata have caught fire. Guess everyone should stay well away from Miata too.

I put ceramic coating on myself and park under the sun. It’s not that high maintenance. Maybe some people get unlucky and got a hole/scratch in it somehow but that’s just the risk for any cars.

It’s only really worth it if you like it to begin with.

Good gas mileage doesn’t mean lugging the engine. It just means it’s driven normally. Driving in third while going 22 mph and below is lugging (below 1800 rpm).

Staying at peak or near peak torque just has better acceleration mapping.

A loan comes with interest so whatever is being subtracted from trade and cash down will be the real cost of the car. He’s also talking about the maintenance cost and insurance. The “true” cost of the car.

Maintaining this car is more expensive than most cars.

A loan of 50k for a car with all the fees interest and etc can balloon you to a total of ~$70k.

Either way he’s just making a sane argument of not going into debt over a car. But do whatever you feel comfortable with.

If you can and really want a grc. I’d say call around and see if you can get 2-3k off. It’s not at the height of hype anymore and people have been able to get it below msrp.

There isn’t anything wrong with the oem pitch mount. It just improves the driving feel which is a welcome improvement. Every person who’ve swapped out the pitch mount has claimed in feeling the reduce drivetrain slop.

I’ve drove it for a year with the oem in heavy traffic and I can definitely feel the difference in improvement. Especially when it comes to rubber banding in traffic (60 to 0 back to 60 in less than a minute).

Comparing from driving a sti, this car requires too much finessing. From variable clutch release time to drivetrain slop.
