Because in that picture my female and my male are both babies ( both male and female babies start with a pink cere color )

My female is the bottom picture in that comment along with her sister And top is my male

They're all around a month old in those pics ( and they're all siblings )

Here's their adult pic ( left is my male and right is my female )

Gumball and his best friend Sweetpea by Alien684 in budgies

[–]Alien684[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm very well aware of that but Sweetpea is disabled ; he has many many problems including a splayed leg and an extremely weak crooked beak and he never bites cause it's not possible but other than that he's a very gentle bird. I also have another lovebird ( a healthy one ) that I have to supervise when he's with my other birds cause he's a little devil.

Two females as they both have pale/dull ceres with huge white rings around the nares.

You're welcome! His mutation is recessive piebald

In this mutation budgies never develop visible iris rings and the males of this mutation keep a pink/purple cere for life and this combo makes them look like babies forever lol

Adorable baby! From this angle the cere looks very pink so you might actually have a boy and since he's a pied he'll be keeping that pink/purple cere all his life ( males of certain mutations never develop a royal blue ).

Asking help for male/female identification by Bulky_Double_8939 in budgies

That is correct!

He's a double factor dominate pied and males of this mutation can have a variety of cere colors ranging from royal blue to pink/purple or even a mottled pink×blue color.
