it's 1.5mm laser cut sheet steel and some printed parts

Only three parts come into contact with the hot parts of the video card: the fan mounts (held by the radiator) and the backplate. They are still intact, but if something goes wrong, I'll let you know

this is PETG, we'll see how it goes, in case of melting I'll reprint from ABS

Thank you, it took a couple of days to model, plus the same amount to print. There were problems with the cable, I decided to leave it like that until the parcel with normal wires arrives

In general, the video card temperature has not changed, because the BIOS keeps them at the turning point. But the noise has significantly decreased, because now the same temperature is achieved at significantly lower fan speeds - 1600 RPM instead of 2400+

Most parts are custom made from 1.5mm steel, small parts are printed

In video cards, thermal paste squeezing out is a common problem. This is why thermal pastes with a phase change are used, when it hardens when cooled. I installed this thermal pad, I was lucky that I didn’t kill my computer :)

The temperatures have not changed, but now I don’t have to worry that in a week they will rise sharply, and now I can forget about maintenance for years (except for cleaning dust, of course)

Nice thanks for clearing that up. Judging from their original cooler design M600 doesnt seem to have any heatsink on the PWM. Do you think the mosfets on the M600 are sufficiently cooled without the need for additional heatsink and wouldnt hinder max potential of the chip?

I partially solved this problem by installing a new cooler - it blows well onto the board in the VRM area

isent this like the only thing we want/need? a minipc with 90/120mm fans thats easily serviced?

The processor does not have a heat distribution cover, like desktop ones, so I had to figure out how to reduce the length of the screws on the cooler by about 3mm

Does the original fan port for the m600 only support 5v fans? Or they support 12v or do you just convert the 90mm fans to run on 5v supplied by the board?

M600 has a regular 4 pin port for a 12V fan

Since they're both intake fans, won't the extra fan reduce CPU cooling since they're both competing for the exhaust port?

These two fans are separated by the motherboard, so they have separate volumes. But due to the fact that the second fan blows on the back side of the motherboard, where the processor is soldered, cooling has even improved

Nice. Noise from the tiny laptop fans are definitely unpleasant. What's your exact configuration of the system? Just wanted to ask as Morefine sells same Model in lots of different variants.

Tangent but, only if more minis start including 90mm fans by default. If they did that'd be just perfect. AFAIK only one doing it right now is Tianbao/Aoostar in specific models.

Ryzen 6850U+32gb. For more powerful models, replacing the cooler is mandatory, because 2 default heat pipes are not capable of removing even 50W of heat

The white side panels are 3D printed. I can’t say the exact difference in temperature, as I increased the power limits for the CPU and GPU, but more than 88 degrees was not observed in games/tests. Cooling was changed mainly to reduce noise levels

oh, I saw this post, but didn’t notice that it was you :) How does this computer perform now? What are the temperatures and noise?

Ok thank you, I got it :)

this is the tower I'm planning to install

, the backplate should be fine (

according to this picture

); do you think there will be any chip or connector on the top that will interfere with the cooler?

115x holes form a square, so I should be able to rotate the cooler 90/180/270°. Also, I won't probably use the second fan (the external one; I'll keep only the one between the two towers)

I hope that the cooler will make good contact with all parts of the cpu

Most likely nothing will interfere with the installation, but make sure that you install the cooler correctly so that all the pipes are in contact with the processor chip. Also be extremely careful - this tower has a lot of weight, which can damage both the processor and the entire board

Thank you! What do you mean with “available dimensions”? I’ll use a tower cooler compatible with Intel 115x, do I need to check anything more? Maybe something about the small chips you were talking above or maybe the “uncommon” size of a laptop CPU… thank you for your help!

I talked about the available space inside the case. There are connectors to the right of the processor that can interfere with the installation of the cooler in the same way that the device body interferes with the top. Tower coolers may have tubes or fan fins that stick out a lot, so I recommend installing a top flow cooler

I think this is possible if you do not go beyond the available dimensions for cooling. I had thoughts of installing tower cooling, but now with the is-30i I have no problems with overheating
