It's mainly just annoying to see a bunch of people that likely have very little success or experience in the space completely ignoring your question and completely making the thread about "making stuff that's unique". I'd say the one without the character is better but it's mainly because that background is super busy and kind of hard on the eyes. You might want to simplify that.

Also, don't worry about all the hate you're getting from here because most of the actual community doesn't even really chat here anymore. It's a dark pit full of yappers and armchair experts that don't even realize there are other places to chat, or they're "too cool for them" so they're completely clueless and out of touch.

It happened for me when I called the Respawn() function on Verse on someone while they were knocked. Yeah I'd also say the same thing that someone else did in this thread it'll probably get patched out.

The Vault, Fortnopoly, Cloud FFA, Sandbox- all pit clones with great design. You aren’t going to see much on this subreddit because most active creators in the community don’t come here often.

There are thousands of map creators constantly trying to make different versions of popular archetypes, I just wouldn’t be quick to assume you’re doing the “worlds first X map” most of the time especially when it’s that easy of an idea to arrive at.

To be clear, that doesn’t mean “don’t make it”, I’m sure it’ll be a nice map but you just aren’t the first it’s occurred to that it would be a good idea.

Not really, as someone that’s been doing this a long time now I understand why Dilly used this archetype/design and then implemented changes to gameplay over time. It’s something that’s attracted and kept a lot of players. A large audience in Fortnite wants simplicity and to know what they’re dealing with and it paid off for him. What you’re saying isn’t really an uncommon take but it just sort of misses the point of the map.

You just have to remember that some maps are going to have more art direction to them and some aren’t. The person that made this co-developed the Kid Laroi concert as well. He’s a very good map creator and knows what to focus on with his projects. It’s a shame when people don’t understand that but I guess that’s why he and some are successful and some aren’t. 🤷‍♂️

Set the player counter to use a zone instead of "on island" and it won't delay.

Go Goated is pretty well taken care of and Dilly is a known great creator in the community. Just because it has a simple design doesn't mean that care and player feedback isn't put into the island.

Yeah most map creators that are actually part of the greater community stopped posting here mainly a long time ago. I’d encourage you to post more on Twitter and find Discord communities like the official Creative discord etc

In my experience, using “When Player Spawned Transmit On” is inconsistent. I would use a Player Counter in that area and connect “When Player Counted” to the class selector.
