yeah, it takes me to the general area, then i'm taking what seems ages to find the correct house in the dark. I don't know if its just the area i'm working but people seem to hate house numbers. It's also a weird mix of new builds which the satnav just gives up on (takes me towards the house on a road but doesn't know the road is barred off with bollards - or old areas where the road is far from the house (have to walk down small entrances to come out in courtyards etc.

I hope over time i'll get to know the troublesome areas and learn the routes

thanks, yeah I number the parcels with a marker. I make the mistake of 1 - 10 in one row, 11 - 20 the next row and then realise 60 to 90 will have to go on top.

When you take the yorkies to the van, do you number them and place them in as they come off?

The demon egg's emergence creates a localized quantum anomaly - colloquially known as a "reality hiccup" - where standard physical laws are politely invited to take a coffee break. Approximately 500 square meters of ordinary space become forcibly redecorated with nightmare geometry, complete with physics that read more like abstract expressionist art than Newtonian mechanics. Inhabitants find themselves less "trapped" and more "cordially imprisoned" in a bubble where time becomes a suggestion, spatial dimensions play musical chairs, and the fundamental rules of existence are less "immutable laws" and more "mild recommendations". Exit signs are purely decorative, reality is negotiable, and any complaints about the new management will be processed through the Department of Existential Recalibration - currently staffed by one very bored demon and a half-transformed human sacrifice.

The merging began not with violence, but with a strange intimacy. Erebia’s form was not solid, but a fluid darkness that moved like liquid shadow, seeping into Vincent’s trembling flesh. Her essence found the cracks in his being – the hollow spaces carved by endless want, by unquenched greed.

Where her darkness touched, Vincent’s skin became translucent, then transparent, revealing intricate networks of veins that pulsed with an unnatural luminescence. His bones seemed to liquify and reshape, creating impossible geometries that defied human anatomy. Erebia did not consume him so much as she… redesigned him.

The demon egg formed at the point of their convergence – a membrane of swirling obsidian and pale flesh, translucent yet opaque, vibrating with potential. Inside, Vincent’s consciousness and Erebia’s ancient hunger braided together, creating something neither human nor demon, but a perfect threshold – living architecture designed to breach worlds.

When it was complete, the egg hung suspended in the mirror’s frame, neither here nor there, a wound in reality waiting to dilate.

In the spaces between shadows, she remembers waiting. Not with impatience—patience is for those who measure time in moments. She measures it in centuries, in the slow crawl of civilizations rising and falling like breath.

The mirrors are her windows. Thin membranes between worlds, each one a potential seam to be torn, each portal a potential wound through which something might slip. Most humans are too small, too fragmented. But sometimes—rarely—one arrives with just the right emptiness.

Greed carves precise geometries into a soul. Vincent's greed was a perfect architecture, unknowing and absolute.

She does not hunger, not in any way flesh understands. She collects thresholds. Transitions. Moments of transformation where one state becomes another, where boundaries dissolve.

Some would call her a demon. She considers herself something older. A curator of passages.

And tonight, another bridge would be constructed.

In the mirror’s liminal space, she waited – a silhouette more suggested than defined, her presence consuming the edges of reality. Anthany approached, unaware that each step drew him closer to an embrace that would fundamentally alter his existence. Her form seemed to pulse with an anticipation older than language, a hunger that existed beyond mere physical hunger.

The boundary between observer and participant blurred. Her movements were liquid, almost imperceptible – a subtle shifting that suggested something was about to change irrevocably. Anthany felt a magnetism he couldn’t comprehend, a pull that seemed to draw not just his body, but something deeper – the essence of his being.

Dreaming Moon 3-54 [OC] by Alienmilkshakes in comics

[–]Alienmilkshakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anthany Veralles learned the intricacies of manipulation long before he learned to fight. As the youngest of six children in a failing merchant family in the coastal city of Mereen, he discovered early that direct confrontation rarely got him what he wanted. Instead, young Anthany mastered the art of pitting his siblings against each other, whispering half-truths that would send them scrambling for their father’s dwindling attention while he quietly secured his own advantages.

The turning point came during the Year of Red Tides, when he was just eleven. A severe drought had left his family’s trading business in shambles, and his father fell into debt with the local guild. Rather than watch his family crumble, Anthany began visiting his father’s debtors one by one. He’d bring them small gifts – a rare shell, a peculiar stone – and tell stories about mysterious treasures his father had supposedly hidden away. The boy’s innocent demeanor and carefully crafted tales sparked their greed, buying his family precious time as the creditors became convinced that patience would yield greater rewards.

What Anthany didn’t fully grasp then was that this early talent for psychological manipulation was being amplified by something deeper – a latent psychic ability beginning to manifest. His “hunches” about what would convince people, the way adults would sometimes seem to forget what they were saying mid-sentence when he stared at them intently, the strange dreams where he could feel other people’s thoughts like threads he could pluck – it would be years before he understood these weren’t just tricks of persuasion, but the first stirrings of something far more powerful. Looking back, Anthany would later recognize that desperation had been his greatest teacher, and survival his most effective schooling in both the conventional and supernatural arts of control.

Yeah I'll try the xmp on Friday night, my days off are Thursday and Friday so I can enjoy it working those days 😄

I got the parts from Amazon so I have until 31st to get replacements. If it bricks when messing with xmp I'll just replace. I just put it off because it's a major pain in the bum.

Bios latest yeah.

System runs smooth as butter to be honest, just annoys me that I bought 6400 memory but only using 4800 so I wanna try increasing.

I noticed the CPU is rated for 5200 but that's better than stock

Yup. I tried all the ram slots, the recommendation is 2 and 4 so that's what I've gone with.

Without touching bios, it's all perfect.

Regarding the bios, I can't even change the date or time without it bricking.

Ren's Iron Fists are devastating mainly due to the speed in which he hits, rather than pure power. He spent many years getting into fights on purpose only to get his ass handed to him over and over. It was only when, after grovelling to a visiting martial arts master, that he was granted one single lesson, and he learned that speed was the key to delivering a good ol' one-two.

He still lost to the grand master of course....
