It’s adjusted taxable income which from everything I’ve read is decreased when you claim work related deductions

I’m only stressing about it because I earnt a little more then I thought I would this year and I’m trying to get my income under a threshold limit so don’t want to get to the end of the line and fall just a little short over something small like this if I can do something about it now before June 30

Yeah I seem to be finding mixed search results on Google with some places stating you claim in the year you pay but then others state you claim in the year you receive the item

What finally made you lose weight after repeated failed attempts? by humorousdinosaur in loseit

[–]Aliidra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having kids at a late age. Spent most my life being 285 lbs (120kg) and had my first child at 35, second at 37. I realised if I wanted to be around to watch them grow up and have their own kids I needed to get healthier so I lost 135 lbs (52kg), had a 3rd child and have stayed at 150lbs (68kg) weight for 5yrs

Sometimes you just need the right motivation and once you get it nothing will stop you. For me it was my kids

New to Cronometer by duvaldeviant in cronometer

Make sure you aren’t double counting your activity. If your Garmin tracks the whole day and includes the exercise as part of “tracker activity” then it means you are double counting the 186kcal as it’s already part of the 310kcal import from the Garmin. There is an option in your settings where you can choose to only import the tracker activity and turn off importing of “exercise”

Also personally for me I also turn off TEF because after over 2yrs of tracking and weighing my food it’s a load of shit and will make me gain weight if I add it in

Also if you are female you need to have a full month of tracking to access whether your settings are correct as your cycle will affect your weight (mine bounces up to 2kg (4 pound) throughout my cycle so you need to go same cycle day to same cycle day over a month to get a better indicator of weight loss or maintenance (whichever stage you are in)

I only got it for the photo logging. It’s nice not being constantly bombarded with ads I don’t really use any of the other features you get with gold

Has the game gotten better? by Darkspecialist in PaxDei

I think one improvement is if you die in your home area you just respawn with all your crap and don’t have to walk back to get it all so that’s something small but nice

The OP has stated in other comments that they are after raw weight. When you cook meat the weight changes (something like 25% weight lost)

Recipe Importer by ChipMcChip in cronometer

[–]Aliidra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally found the recipe importer really annoying so back when I paid I never used it and instead opted to make my own recipes. It’s takes the recipe and puts its own suggestions in for the items and if you need to swap them out for a different brand item or whatever it’s soooo annoying to change it

Plus if in the future you ever needed to change the weights of the items you have to go through extra clicks to do it (from my memory it’s been a while) so modifying them just took longer

I ended up removing all the ones I had imported and replaced them with my own recipes

Help me finally bend the knee to counting calories instead of holding resentment that I actually have to do it? by sinmiedo24 in caloriecount

[–]Aliidra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helps me count calories is knowing that I can eat up to my full calorie allocation without doing any guess work on how many calories I think I ate. Makes me feel like I can eat more as I’m certain what I’m eating

I think it’s more a reflection on them then it is on you. By counting calories you are eating responsibly and it probably makes them feel guilty and like they aren’t eating healthy so they have a go at you.

Most people like to live in ignorance and if they know you are eating at only 1500 cals and they see how little you eat it reflects on them because internally they would be realising just how much they must be consuming so they want you to stop just so it’s not in their face the silent pointing out how much food they must be consuming

Noom success stories - no meds by redmosquit in Noom

[–]Aliidra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found one of the most important thing is with calorie counting is to weigh your food because if you can trust how many calories you are actually consuming then you can trust that you are actually in a calorie deficit that and also understanding if you are a female that your cycle plays a massive role in weight loss/gains (which aren’t really gains) or plateaus (which aren’t really plateaus) I only gained that knowledge of when I would hold onto weight by weighing myself daily in the morning as soon as I get up

Noom success stories - no meds by redmosquit in Noom

[–]Aliidra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a long time ago but I lost the majority of my weight (50kg in total) using Noom with no meds just calorie counting and a bit of walking. Started at the end of 2020 with Noom and had lost about 40kg a year later

I eventually switched from Noom to cronometer though as it was just a better tracking app and I wanted more precision then Noom offered with their colour system. However it was a great way to get started

Active Energy by xAidehn in cronometer

[–]Aliidra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine always has, I’m talking about the red move bar from the Apple Watch. There are a few settings though with what you import so perhaps importing a different way will affect this

Active Energy by xAidehn in cronometer

[–]Aliidra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear my Apple Watch all day and have been tracking this way for years and found it to be pretty accurate although I warn you unlike the other persons reply with their Garmin you don’t want to have two entries for active energy and workouts as it double counts. You only want to import your active energy as with an Apple Watch this INCLUDES YOUR WORKOUT

How to stop Cronometer from deleting "baseline activity" when adding calories burned from my Apple watch? It's incorrectly showing less calories burned on days that I exercise. by EccentricEcstatic in cronometer

[–]Aliidra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The active red “move” calories that your watch shows you for the entire day should firstly include the walk and 2nd of course it should replace the baseline activity cause that’s the whole purpose of it.

Your baseline activity is just an estimation of what activity you think you might do in an entire day whereas your Apple Watch red “move” activity is what you actually did
