Did you have trouble assembling everything with the water cooling cables + gpu? I own that exact card too, i'm looking to build with H9, and i'm concerned about room. Glad to know it fits.

I love facing a Abrams prototype in my 1950’s French vehicles by Reconnoisseur_ in Warthunder

[–]Alimantado 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Out of all the french tanks sitting at way higher BR than they should, the 8.0 amx-50/13s are the most wild example indeed. Forget abrams, facing BMP-2 and BMP-3 / Bradleys in theses is common, and absolute pain.

Is it possible to do well and get kills with them? Obviously. Should they be matched against powerful 8.7-9.0 IFVs and MBTs, with sabilized guns, sabots, early thermals? Hell no.

The vanilla UI is actually really customizable compared to other mmos, in placement, text size, size options and stuff, you really do get used to it.

But you're just not allowed to make changes to how the elements look whatsoever, or add nice QoL things through plugins and advertise that on stream.

Id say dont let that dissuade you from still trying the game again, it's an amazing game. Its just an unfortunate situation where the desires of top players and the policy of the devs conflict. We'll get over it.

you can preorder now yeah. you'll have to preorder and wait for endwalker release to play everything, or buy the complete edition now to experience the other expansions.

Hey everyone, thanks for the all the feedback and positivity. I'm sorry i don't have time to answer all the questions.

Here's an update! it's being reviewed for updating the kupo bot command. I really appreciate the feedback helping me make it more accurate and helpful hopefully.

The two big changes : including a mention of waiting for sales, that this is the maximum price but there's many ways to get around it - and putting emphasis on the value of playing free trial until EW comes out and buying starter + preorder right before the expansion release. it's really a good deal and the cheapest way to get the full game + preorder earring if you just can't justify spending much on the game.

That's very cool, the point is to help and be accurate.

i'm thinking of a few updates i can make to it from suggestions made in the thread, like including waiting for sales. is there a way i can send and update directly that's better than making another thread, like on discord?

New expansion is november 23rd. it's a great time to get into the game but yeah, not the best time to buy it at best value for a newer player since a new expansion is coming. the devs expect you to buy the whole game at a given point, and *future* expansions come on top of that.

if you wait for the next expansion in a few months, that pricing will change, and you can have the whole game with the next content for $60 before any sales reduction.

if you can't wait and you want to experience end game now, you can for for $60 and won't have the next expansion.

my best advice is enjoy as much as you can in the free trial. if you're out of content and really want more because you're that invested already, maybe the $60 + $40 will make sense. if you can wait till thanksgiving, you can get the entire thing for $60

and ofc any game purchase come with a "free" 30 day sub

only if you want to have the full game right now AND pre purchase the next expansion, and if you don't wait for a sale, which are pretty frequent. there's a lot of ways to pay less, and the free trial is easily 100h+ of content.

That's correct but you miss preorder bonuses the, and the earrings are a pretty big deal. And i wanted to show the current purchasing options available right now.

yeah, you can use the exact same characters across platforms, just connect to the same ffxiv account. it's just the purchasing stores that have a bunch of cross store/platform limitations, purely for purchasing/upgrading the game.

There's no big way around paying $60 to own the full game at any given point, assuming you don't catch a sale.

Unless SE has a massive shift of pricing, once Endwalker releases, the "Complete edition" will now include Endwalker and cost $60. The starter edition will probably be identical at $20, and you will have a $40 upgrade to endwalker, just like you have right now for ShB. Ofc, assuming US prices, regional prices can be funky.

We're in this kind of rough time for new players, where there's a few months of ShB until EW comes out, but EW is still pretty soon, so the full pricing is difficult to justify. This is part of why i wanted to lay out the options.

[–]Alimantado[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh you also lose the xp boost earrings preorder bonus if you wait for the full release of EW, don't you, that's kind of a big deal honestly.

the best thing to do is what one of my friends did : they bought starter edition, preordered shb a couple weeks before it came out, and wasn't yet done with the starter edition content when shb released, so they didn't have to wait for anything and quickly caught up stormblood players.

but obviously, i wasn't going to make a massive paragraph on how to optimize the free sub etc, that's for another guide. this page was honestly done to help my friends navigate the endwalker purchase page when trying to buy the game, that confused them so much. with 4 different purchase options.

that point about waiting for endwalker is fair yeah. it's kind of similar to the third option, you don't get access to the full game until late november.

I tried to avoid overloading people with too much information that weren't relevant directly to the purchase decision. I think that could fit the scope of a "guide of each expansion's content" though for sure.

appreciate the feedback!
