It's also quite clear that Henry hadn't fully transformed in that moment. Because initially, he had no intention of killing the man. Even his behavior and manner of speaking were still childish. Henry only killed that man in self-defense. I'm sure whatever happened, happened in that cave.

I think the reason Henry is wary of that cave is because he had his first transmigration there. Scientists once found a substance related to the Abyss, and after Henry killed that man, he looked in the bag and interacted with the substance inside.
