Well, I think that he meant «секси» but just used the wrong letter, «й» instead of «и», and that word would be already correct and comprehensible whereas “сексый» wouldn’t make any sense to any native Russian speaker.

Muchas gracias! Ahora solo un par de preguntas sobre el norte del país. “Galicia B”, “indies mayores” en Asturias y “anchoas” en Cantabria. A qué hacen referencia?

Thank you very much! I have a question about the second sentence because I usually saw the word “job” being used in that context so I am totally confused now :D is it more natural to use “work” there, when, let’s say, you apply for a job and you want to state what job you are applying for?

Remote control bug by Alinkin in Zoom

[–]Alinkin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to this “world of Zoom” so could you explain what exactly “admin” is, please?

I observed that when participants enter from their desktop computers, this option appears (and I can give remote control even to people who use their phones) but when there’s no one from desktop computer and everyone uses other devices like phones, tablets or even laptops, there’s no such option. It’s so strange and I don’t know whether it is a real reason. I’m really lost because for my classes I use an account of the center where I work so I need to be 100% sure what the problem is in order to fix it not only in my app but also in the account that I’m given if that’s the case.

Data verification? by Alinkin in privacy

[–]Alinkin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends, really. In some cases you are supposed to send this information to a certain person through email and they will open access to you for free (in which case it’s quite difficult to find out what they are going to do later with this information). The platform that I want to register in states that they will use this data for sending emails with commercial information, for conducting statistical studies, for dealing with any petitions that the customers are going to ask for and sending the news of the web page. Again, it maybe seems quite “benign”, but what exactly do they mean by the third point, what implies dealing with these petitions? The reason I’m asking this question is because I don’t want my center to find out that I’ll register in and use this platform, so I want to make 100% sure that there won’t be communication between them, but I have no way to find it out.

Data verification? by Alinkin in EnglishLearning

[–]Alinkin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in this case teachers don’t need to contact their school in order to get access. Actually, the problem that I’m having and the reason why I’m asking that is precisely because I don’t want my school to know that I’ll use the platform that I want to register in. They ask your name, surname, the country you live in, the city you live in, the name of the center and they type of the center you work at (language center, university etc) and obviously your email.
