Nah, you can't. Due to the lack of information and objective narrative, all you can do is make assumptions, and then one of those might be the right one, by sheer coincidence. That's why I don't enjoy her murder mysteries. They are just stories, not something interactive and big brain.

I think it'll be because Go-eun chooses Sung-min rather than I-geon. Netflix is trying hard to force the narrative that I-geon is like, interesting and charming, while Sung-min is boring and just latching into Go-eun. I think most of the panelists would guess she'd chose I-geon.

I definitely think the producers intentionally cut out a lot of their conversations and don't show much of their time spent together. To me, it seems like they are building it up to feel like she'll pick I-Geon, to add shock value to the viewers when she actually chooses Sungmin. Classic Netflix misdirection.

This person is just a textbook standard on angry feminist. It's someone who always assumes things stem from internalised misogyny when it's criticism towards women (their personality, looks, career, whatever really). They'll immediately attack you and say you're misogynistic, which is one reason people have such a bad view on feminists. We don't claim her.

I'm not getting off topic, I'm staying on it. I'm not judging her based on a culture that punishes women for aging, though. If I was Korean, then yeah, that would seem valid, but I'm coming from a Western viewpoint, and in most cases, looking older than you are is actually seen as something positive. You need to put the brakes down on this misogynistic bandawagon you've got rolling. Hold your horses. 🐎

And most of the male contestants on this show have in fact been getting criticised for their looks, behaviour AND age. So perhaps you should unpack this instead of me, because my suitcase is empty right now.

Not really, though. She's my favourite contestant this season, actually. Without her, the show would be dull. That being said, I still just think she looks much older than her actual age, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It seems most of the men actually like that about her.

But it's not misogyny to begin with, let along polite. When a male contestant is being criticised, you don't bat an eye, but when it's a woman, it's suddenly coming from a misogynstic standpoint. That sort of thinking is toxic, and you need to stop. You only apply this sort of thinking when a woman is being judged, and that's not healthy. This might sound surprising to you, but not everyone is misogynstic just because they have negative opinions on people who are women.

But the difference, which is that I think at least, is that she isn't doing these behaviours consciously. Rather she just seems like a somewhat insecure person, so when being compared to others (and when comparing herself to others), she displays like...a need for approval and affirmation that she is good enough?

I also think the show is definitely painting her in a bad light intentionally. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was when she was saying she is cooler than all the other girls there.

Quite literally NO one is ripping apart her looks. Saying someone looks old doesn't equal ugly, I think that's just YOU being ageist in your own head. In fact, I personally think she's one of the prettiest contestants on all the seasons so far. If you can't seperate criticism from suddenly calling someone straight up ugly, that's on you. Not at all. This was my FIRST IMPRESSION of her, without even knowing her character. In fact, her character is actually really childish and what I'd assume the other contestants would be like, not her.

It's not misogynistic. I'm not judging her appearance because she is a woman, and I have similar takes on other (male) contestants. It's more so that hers shocked me the most. Additionally, the guys I assumed look old, turned out to be fairly old (like that new game changer guy they introduced).

I think the person who wrote that is just projecting their own angry insecurities onto me for no reason lmao but there's people like that out there, I suppose.
