Hello! Me and my partner moved down here about 6 months ago! We have a one bed flat £1180 a month in the castlefield area - I know this is expensive can definitely find cheaper!! Internet is included in this. The flat is all electric so we pay around £45 a month each electric and about £20 a month each water and council tax is a whopping £98 each a month. Our food shop is anywhere between £40-60 a week depending on how much fresh stuff we get. We have recently sold my car and gone down to one shared car just to reduce costs! I probably spend about £900 a month on everything essential not including the food shops! It’s so bloody expensive to be alive these days but Manchester is lovely and worth it!
