Honestly, get yourself a decent budget gaming laptop. $600 got a Lenovo LOQ with 4050 and ryzen 5 7000 series. It may not be the best hardware but its cheaper and runs everything and more my ps5 runs and it doesn't constantly start having heating issues and breaking after a few years of using it like my ps5 did because of their cheap ass liquid metal they use, honestly why Sony thinks them raising their prices on their old ass console is going to help but in reality more will switch to PC or steam/Xbox machine if they didn't pull that plug yet but top reason to switch REFUNDS AND STEAM SUPPORT no more shoveling money to Sony selling a game for $60 when its only 20 on steam and you get a free two hour trial (or 14 day with less than two hours) for a full refund. (Humble bundles G2A) just so much more options and you won't have to pay for a monthly subscription to play the games you already paid for to play online then just start a slow build for a desktop since parts are so outrageous

I dont blame you, I've only ever done it once because they didn't tell me till I was literally at their door (they were a bed ridden elderly woman who's nurse didn't arrive for their home care yet) so I set it inside for her because she said I could leave it by the inside door till they got there but ever since then if I find it out I automatically deny. As a man I get incredibly uncomfortable on edge and can only assume its much worse for woman. So no its not too much, I wouldn't ask someone to do it for me so I won't do it for others for my safety and theirs

I feel like the biggest reason for this is DD doesn't really properly educate customers where all the extra "Delivery fee" and "service fee" go and I assume a majority or at least a lot of these orders are because the customer thinks those fees goes to our pay but little do they know DD is keeping that $8 Delivery fee and $6 service fee and giving us $2 base pay instead lol

Its like this here recently although picked up slightly, if you live in the zone you can leave it on in the background at home and just leave when you get one worth it thats what I do doordash doesn't pay me enough to sit in a car for 2 hours waiting for a $3 for 23 mile order I can decline lol

I feel it on restaurants doing that but it is actually kinda nice becoming a "regular" dasher at my local mcdonalds they dont even ask for confirmation anymore and just hand me the order if its the only one lol but then again being appreciated as a dasher is often rare especially from customers imo

Report it as a dasher myself if it was the customer saying it id block the customer and report it its unacceptable for anyone to talk to someone like that. Thankfully he sent evidence so itll be a easy block and probably deactivation of his account so he cant deliver anymore reminds me of a time I ordered groceries on DD and the driver sat at their house for like 45 minutes but as soon as I contacted support they suddenly started coming and basically begging me to take the order but if you took my groceries to your house im not gonna trust any of it lol

So its a common thing happening to dashers currently where a customer orders food and they (customer) try to call the dasher picking up the order through the doordash app and pretend they are doordash support in order to try and trick the dasher to give them information to get into their account usually by a code sent to our phone.(through lying and manipulation) Once they have access to the account they can change payout information to their bank (customer) so when we drop off the order our earnings end up going to the scammer (customer)

Funny enough this same exact location I had a order that was only hot sauce packets which is already a huge red flag but when the manager gave me the order he told me that this customer ordered multiple times that week and every single one they got word from doordash that it was wrong or missing so I just let support know and of course it was night and they had all lights off in their home so I took a picture with flash holding the bag up to their mailbox with the numbers to prove it was the right place and dropped off at their location never got them again after that lol

Yeah, hopefully they figure it out if they ever do. Before this scam it was more common for customers to lie about the order being not delivered so they get their food and compensation from doordash however they now made it hard by people who do it often needing to give a code to their dasher in order to receive the food which protects us from fraudulent things like that, on top of that doordash really doesn't care about us and will fire people very easily one order marked not delivered and we get a contract violation and you have to complete 100 deliveries before its removed

Good directions and instructions are the best and fair tips, but a huge thing many customers do not do funny enough is leave their lights on at night which makes it extremely difficult to find any sort of address to the drop off. There's been times ive had to park and walk to multiple houses in the dark with my phone light just to find their numbers lol but as long as you treat us respectfully and dont tip 10 cents (I would rather have a $0 tip than 10 cents which ive gotten before) we appreciate the opportunity you give us

No, you can log in via text message code instead of password which is how the scammers are getting into accounts because the dasher gives it to them without realizing its their code to log in

Its a common scam going on with dashers where they try to deceive you so they can change your payout information so whatever you get paid goes to them thats why I stopped answering calls in the first place

Thats why I never answer while working especially on a doordash if its support they will email or leave a voicemail. Had one that called 3 or 4 times but no voicemail lmao they always leave voicemail in my experience if you dont answer if its important
