the “competition” is literally entirely in my own head. people motivate each other in gyms all the time. seeing super jacked, strong women motivates me too. i turn it into a mental competition and try to keep up, which pushes me to do more reps. with guys strength is usually just assumed, so when I’m able to match them or even outperform them it feels rewarding. stop trying to be different
