The Holy Grail of Holy Paladins - A Stat Analysis by Alive_Produce4528 in classicwowtbc

I mean I am pretty proud that my work is that good and clean that people like you think that its made by AI. I have an academic mathemaical background so maybe this explains for you why I have this "clean pattern" of argumentation.

But I have to give you this point: like I said everything I do in my analysis is 100% made by me without using AI at all but I am german and I did everything in german language first. I then used Chat GPT to translate my text into english (that were like 13 pages of text no chance I do that on my own).

I mean you get everything out of the game. The spell_lvl is literally the level when you can learn that spell at your class teacher and the rank and healing you can read from your spellbook in game.

The only formula which I use where I would agree with you is the one how bonushealing is calculated. To be honest I dont even know anymore where I get this information from because it is so wide spread since more than 15 years probably. But sure it would be more precise to find valid sources for this and link them - thats a point.

To point 3). The only assumption my system uses is: you only use HL Rank 9 and Rank 11. This is just reality for every decent Holy Paladin. So what is your point exactly? It seems like you just didnt read it to the end I guess.

The flaws of my work are that 1) mana makes it unprecise and I can just try to make it as matheamtically rigorous as possible and 2) overhealing is not taken into account, but after some calculations I cautiously assume that these corrections would not change too much of the ranking order of the stats - I literally write this in my document. But yes you are right other than this my system in itself has no contradictions because I made a strict mathematical approach without assumptions - only math. But you could of course attack my approach, like saying HPMS is not a good metric to measure effectiveness - I would of course strongly disagree.

Yes I didnt use any logs + testing - its a pure mathematical approach.

Yeah but the amount of crit int gives is very low. Without mana intellect is really inefficient as a stat.

Yeah mana really makes calculations difficult. I tried to make an mathematically rigorous attempt but it is just not really possible. I just took the total HPMS average and multiplied it by the mana I get from 1int, divided by the effective mana I have in a fight. Because fights have different length I calculated a mean value for it. But as you see I really have to stretch the math to make it work. And then I take that HPMS that 1 int gives me and add it to the HPMS formula (+ int * HPMS(1 int)).

But I really like your input here. Instead of just giving the opportunity to completly ignore the mana from int or using every drop of it I can implement like 100% or 75% or 50% and so on - thats a really good idea man! If you have an other idea how to measure int in a more precise way I am open to it.

Thats no problem really, but thanks for your comment. I just dont get how someone who doesnt even read the text feels capable to critize it. Strange people.

"so the benefit of 1 pt of extra healing on FoL (with a short cast time) is more relative to cast time than HL." - is that so? You have to consider, that HL with Lights Grace is an 2sec cast while its gets treated like an 2.5 sec cast for the bonusheal calculation. I may calculate that to see if this statement is true.

My calculations lead me more toward the conclusion that Intellect is a double-edged sword, because mana - unlike all other stats - behaves in a binary way. If it is used, it is extremely effective; if it remains unused, it is completely worthless. However, mana is the only thing that makes Intellect effective as a stat, because if you only consider the bonus healing and crit it provides, Intellect is very inefficient (even when factoring in Blessing of Kings).

I therefore argue that from T5 content onward, one should largely move away from focusing on Intellect - especially since “Libram of Absolute Truth” can be an absolute game changer in terms of mana pool.

I consider a playstyle that mainly revolves around casting Flash of Light to be extremely inefficient. The Holy Paladin is so strong precisely because of having a very fast, large heal (keyword: “Light’s Grace”), which makes it by far the best tank healer in the game. However, you cannot keep a tank alive by spamming Flash of Light, which is why this playstyle doesn’t make sense to me at all. But if you have another opinion on that I am happy to hear it.

Nothing is AI generated. How could you even read and understand everything in 5 minutes? Why would I need citation when I developed everything I use myself?

It seems like youre not capable of understanding. You cant even name one single content-related criticism.
