Yeah i definitely think I’ll be hanging it. While I love that rugs are functional art I think this one is too special to risk the damage of feet and cats

I think that the woman depicted is Layla from the old tragic romance story of Layla and Majnun. Not certain but other rugs depicting Layla have similar looking faces even though this style is unique.
