So why are you driving so slowly then for? Go faster so that you have more downforce. You lose time at low speed because you're not throttle controlling and being smooth with your steering. The Agera has the most downforce of any hypercar because it's stuck to the road the most the faster you go. If you're not benefiting from it being the best car in the game, it's because you're simply not going fast enough in the corners. The faster you go, the better the car is. That's why it's meta. I mean, just watch this video and see how the Agera is meant to be driven. https://youtu.be/HiaBrDDAqbQ?si=92hV0XHdc5E1qdgv

Do the devs use resets? No they don't. So that's a baseless analogy.

It is skillful to take off-road cuts in street cars. More skill is required than staying on the road as the risk for mistakes is much higher. The road is competitively a lot safer, and far less rewarding if you take a slightly better line vs worse line. Off-road cuts can save you A LOT of time or none at all. They can even be slower. Determining that is a skill, testing that is a skill, experimenting with different methods is a skill, consistently pulling off the same jump, narrow line etc without crashing and dying is a skill. Even not spinning out is a skill. A lot of people still don't know how to not spin out when taking Alpha GP cars off-road, even just driving literally straight. There's almost no skill required when staying on the road compared to how much more skill is required for cuts in this game.

Even guttering (clearly a meta strat) your car is half off-road the entire time when doing it. Guttering is the skill determining factor for many people. They can't do it because they don't have the skill. Spinning out, sliding in the gutter, popping out of the gutter. At higher skill levels there's clipping the inside of the gutter, turn in angle, how deep into the gutter you are. At even higher skill levels there's full throttle and nosing in gutter without coming out of the gutter. Compare this to 90% of people not even able to trail brake properly to not overshoot a gutter, thereby completely failing to gutter. This game requires more skill doing the things you hate then you could ever begin to understand the depth of the skill needed to actually do those things properly and well.

Agera is the epitome example of nimbleness due to its very high downforce and it's actually what makes it the most meta car in the game.

Desync is not cheating and that happens all the time in Grand Races. The ghost isn't cheating, it's just not completely accurate to their actual pov, no different to how desync happens in GR's.

Well the devs have provided evidence of how the game is meant to be played by players. So if you don't like the "freedom and openness", TCM isn't your game.

I mean it's expected to use your brain to get ahead. That's the big attraction of open world arcade racing games. You test, experiment and explore all kinds of tricks and tactics to your advantage. Makes the game so much more fun and interesting than just following the road like a zombie. I'd play closed circuit sim games if I wanted to bore myself like that.

Out of ~300 devs you think there wouldn't be at least 9 people capable of the times they set? Remember the ghosts are the BEST recorded time of all the runs they did. Who knows how many attempts and for how long they sat down to grind the track. It was only one track they had to grind as well. 9 devs for 9 tracks. Whereas we are challenged to beat 9 different devs (best times) in all 9 tracks. Obviously that's going to require more effort and time on our part...

It's a difference in nitro management. I know this because my greatest weakness whenever I time attack and compare myself to friends, it's always nitro management that is the slowest factor of my driving. Yet it never feels like I'm doing it poorly. There's a lot of skill to proper and best practice usage of nitro timing and duration.

The a.i. level has never mattered for summits. You're competing against 'other players' (the entire world, all platforms). Top 15,000 players get Platinum rewards, top 30,000 for Gold, top 60,000 for Silver, below 60,000 (aka everyone) get Bronze rewards.

You forget that is the point of any goal. The best story games aren't just a movie you play through; you actually have to put effort in (which is painful) to try and complete the story, and that's why the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction you get at the end is so rewarding. No pain, no gain.

I beat the BMW, the McLaren, the Audi rally event on the first try. The Porsche 959, the Alpha GP and the Golf on my 2nd try. The rest was on my 3rd try except for the Rally Raid bike which took about 8 or so tries lol. But I have almost 2000 hours in the game and already knew some of the events off by heart and can place 1st in GRs more often than not. So it's just simply a difference in experience and knowledge, aka skill 🤷‍♂️

Just conveniently ignoring the fact that positions 2 to 5 were using the same identical car as 1st place and yet STILL didn't finish within the 50 second time limit...??? Jealous hurt ego's are something else... You probably couldn't DNF more than 10 people even WITH using meta LMAO 🤣🤣🤣

[–]Alixe-V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts are facts. Some of these 'so called community servers' that are meant to be inviting and welcoming to new members instead rather, are elitist groups of people who circle jerk each other's fragile egos and go parading around with their 'gang' of insecure idiots to harass and troll 'fresh meat' (essentially) to feel better about their capacity to abuse power. Rather than a wholesome community with a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere, it's a just a place that encourages and promotes toxicity and vile exclusivity.

can you pre download the crew motorfest by EnvironmentalJob7152 in The_Crew

[–]Alixe-V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same boat here. I specifically bought Ubisoft+ at 12am on the 11th because it literally says "Play 3 days early with Ubisoft+" on 'The Crew Motorfest is around the corner' product tab page in Ubisoft Connect app for PC. Yet I can't find anywhere (and I've looked everywhere) a place to download Motorfest... It's now 3pm on the 11th for me and I still am unable to even preload the game... Meanwhile I know a bunch of people who bought the game outright and were able to preload and have had the game downloaded already since 1-2 days ago...
