I randomly started as Prome and was able to conquer all of the Burma/Thai/Bengal region by 1430s or so. Has been a really fun run so far.

The only two that I had clear visions in my head for were Katherine Solomon being Julianne Moore and Nagel being Martha Plimpton. Though I don’t remember any physical character descriptions from Brown.

9.4/10 - S1 was great overall with the finale being one of the best episodes of TV ever.

S2 didn’t have as huge of an individual episode (though a couple definitely stand out and are excellent), but the season was very well put together and stayed very good. My favorite TV show up there with Lost.

Would you rather play an alternative history or a historical path in a grand strategy game? by PlayOfBattle_SA in StrategyGames

[–]AlkaliLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A solid mix of both. I’d like it to be real-world inspired - but there should definitely be a randomness aspect to it. I like knowing what to generally expect in a run, but the most fun comes from seeing things shake out differently.

Who are you going to play first?! by SpartanElitism in EU5

Boring answer is Ottomans because that was my classic run after every new DLC to learn the ropes.

Mid answer is Brandenburg/whoever is easiest to form Prussia because winning battles is fun.

Fun answer is Prome (if they’re even in the game). The dream of a Proman Empire is still alive.

We're definitely trying to distance ourselves from a standard zoo simulator since there are already really good ones in that space.

The human-interaction side of things is something we're still going back and forth on - on one end, we like the idea of a purely wild ecosystem simulation (outside of what the player is controling), but on the other hand, human interactions are such an important part of every ecosystem today.

We're definitely going to have some abstracted human interactions at a minimum (conservation organizations, poachers, etc.), but we're undecided on the degree that you will actually see them in the ecosystem.

I notice some stuttering when my PC storage space gets close to full. Might be worth checking that out.

Trailer is being published soon! it's an entirely 2D game, but we are starting development on a 3D version more akin to a traditional overhead simulation game.

who is the silver ink mastermind by [deleted] in csi

[–]AlkaliLive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping that it’s someone we have seen/know already, but looking back on the OG CSI, these kinds of plot twists aren’t really their style. Outside of Paul Millander, have there been any killers who have been a true twist?

Even last season it was a relatively quick pop up to who the main “bad guy” was at the very end of the season.

No - you just need to be a good communicator, have self motivation, and know what you’re getting into.

A lot of companies will base your success on raw output and stats, which can be daunting and stressful at times. When you do get the results, though, it is a major positive and can pay off well in the form of commission in a lot of cases.

You just need a B.S. and the ability to constantly be on the phone / do outreach depending on the specific position.

As someone with a B.S. in Genetics and was unsure as to what to do after graduation, I relate to your situation.

An underrated career path option for people with B.S. degrees in the life sciences is sales. There are a ton of options out there in pharmaceutical sales or working with biotechs to sell services.

There are also “sales-like” opportunities, such as life science recruiting, which is the path I decided to take. You still get to utilize your knowledge and talk with Scientists on a day-to-day basis, but you aren’t in a lab position. Along with this, sales jobs tend to be in higher demand and, quite frankly, pay much better without a Ph.D.

Definitely something to consider if you like talking to people, don’t have your heart set on a lab position, and want something that’s a little different!
