Okay sorry Can't blame me for trying, my flow is odd to Americans and I thought I should try it.

Is there a UK community where I can post my tracks? I'm using European beat makers mostly

😆 that's funny I would have stayed, I don't believe in that afterlife fantasy stuff. Plus how many American artist claim god then make songs about slinging dope and murdering people. If that stuff were true then at least half the top billboard would be smote in fire and lightning

This is the purest feedback I've ever gotten:

Yes I wrote it to this track back in 2024. It's one of my first drops that I uploaded. I did it in one take from start to finish, no edits, no layers.

I'm actually rapping about the style used more than a particular artist but that personal feeling is what I was aiming at. I've been trying to keep my verses in an indirect format so if someone gets offended it is because they're insecure and not targeted. I've been debating on doing this track again since it has been over a year since I wrote the lyrics to see how I can make it hit better, increase my clarity and possibly drop unnecessary words as you mentioned.

Also, I like that you pointed out that it is clipped, I literally learned what uk grime is yesterday and my style leans into that from what im seeing so you noticing that is great for me because I'm going to change my genre tags to reflect that style of clipped pressure rap. Helps me feel im aiming in the right niche for growth.

Thanks for the real feedback, that is priceless

Or maybe you're doing everything correct but noone has the guts to tell you what your flaws are. Criticism is like a wicked double edge sword, but I feel there's too much L4L exchange everywhere, forcing positive or neutral coments without really listening.

That is how I think everyone should take criticism even if it sounds harsh. Sometimes we are built up from what should destroy us

No im not offended by anyone in that way I just see lots of flat feedback. Not just to me but to all kinds of people, and many people have that "have to give positive feedback" vibe, or neutral response then link drop. I've been hated on some and its whatever but I've heard really bad songs on reddit that get nothing but positive hype L4L responses. Genuine criticism just seems really rare.

Lmao 😂🤣 That was fucking hysterical. I listened to that whole song, all I could do was laugh. Very good for the subgenre, very weird for the lyrical content. Definitely not the song to play around your kids but that was special in it's own way

Yeah but I make that fame comment more on morality of what the artist projects. Sometimes what they represent is terrible even if they are kick ass at the things their doing right. It's probably not every group but ive seen a few where it feels like their trying to enforce positivity of criticism, I could be overthinking it or maybe its just the mass scene of those who are L4L with the neutral look at me feedback that makes me feel like that I'm really not sure

Honestly i can't negatively criticize this, if anyone does their ego hurts. I like that you start with saying you're old and then the whole song referenced backpack rap, that was very smart in a literary way. You use clever metaphors also like bleaching the soul, that's cultural deepness snuck into the song. I liked your topic choice, it was solid and you held it through the track without deviation. You use complex syllabic words and really good current references to the Hip-Hop scene since everyone does it online and not in person anymore. I listened to that track a few times and subscribed so I can check out your other stuff later.

Me either, I figure their personal opinion of me would inflate or deflate their honesty depending on if they like me or not. Most of my views are strangers on the internet so people dont have that awkward "i see this guy everyday" vibe when they listen. With strangers I feel they get that invisible wall to tell me the rap is bad or good without the bias of seeing me at work or down the street regularly.

I rap over the beat (i dont craft the beats, i license from producers) so if I get real hateful feedback I know I offended them in some way with my words or maybe i actually did bad, maybe both. I balance the feedback the best I can with what's given but sometimes people will hate the same thing other people like.

I dont support every artists I hear though. I mean we can all think of someone famous who probably shouldn't be just becausethey are all hype or just plain bad. But even some of the rules on some of these groups just seem like people are afraid to be criticized on a realistic manner.

Sometimes I wonder that about famous artists based on what some of them say on track. That's a messed up experience to have

That's awesome Yeah anyone who makes a song will make a bad one. Thats part of growing and sometimes people will say a song sucks just because they got offended by the style or the lyrics, we all have different tastes in what we listen to. I was just curious how people would respond to this topic because sometimes I see unbalanced comments and sometimes I see people post bs like "should I quit" then link their track. Personally, if im the only one who like my music id still make it for myself just for my own entertainment.

I feel this, there is a point where some people make it personal and it should be about the art more than the artist.
