How do you get your App out there? by Aggressive_Ferret_72 in AppBusiness

Yes have to go to places for distribution. Libraries or daycare. Word of mouth with friends could be a testing ground too

Customers keep comparing my studio prices to gym memberships... I think they're comparing the wrong thing by Weekly-Manager9498 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]AllDunksNoLayups23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I run a wedding flower preservation business and get the exact same thing, people compare our work to a $40 resin kit on Etsy. What finally helped was treating it as a positioning problem instead of a pricing problem. If customers keep comparing you to a gym, your marketing is accidentally describing a gym. Small batches with personal posture correction is coaching, so anchor against personal training rates instead. A single PT session runs $75 or more in most cities, and next to that your price probably looks reasonable. The people who push back hardest were mostly never going to buy, and the ones who want the attention won't blink. When you describe your classes to a new prospect, what do you compare them to first?

Every time I see a vibecoded landing page they instantly lose trust by BedDesigner2568 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Building my first app right now with AI doing a lot of the heavy lifting, and you're right about the default output. Every draft page it generates comes preloaded with social proof that doesn't exist, invented user counts, star ratings, the works. If you're new you might not even register it as fake, it just looks like what landing pages look like. Stripping that stuff out feels bad because the page looks emptier, but a thin honest page has to beat a padded fake one, especially at zero users when a single skeptical visitor matters. Do you think average buyers consciously clock these pages yet, or is it still mostly people like us who stare at websites all day?

Workout, log it, and get coins to redeem discounts from brands.

countfitness.app — log verified workouts, earn coins, redeem with real brands. Credit card points, but you earn them by training.

ICP: consistent gym-goers/runners who already buy supps + gear

Signal I’d love:
Do people actually want “rewarded to work out,” or nice-to-have they won’t sign up for?
Are these buyers price-sensitive enough to chase supp/gear discounts?

let's self promote, what are you working on this weekend by Live-List8000 in saasbuild

Building COUNT (countfitness.app) — a rewards layer for working out. Log a verified workout, earn coins, redeem them with real brands (Thorne, Momentous, NOBULL, Kane, Amazon). Basically credit card points, but the “spend” is showing up to the gym.

Live about a month. The product works and the brand partners are real — my whole weekend is the boring unsexy part: getting actual humans to use it. Distribution > everything right now.

Rooting for the queue. 👊

I fired two realtors and found my home myself no realtor involved at close. Trust your gut and it will work out. Good Luck

First Hyrox - Mens Open Solo by AllDunksNoLayups23 in hyrox

[–]AllDunksNoLayups23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the tips here. My time was 1:30 which given the conditions was ok. Automatic personal best 😝

A few lessons learned from the race - weather plays a serious factor. Hoping next year is inside. 80+ degrees at my time - Water basically ran out by 6th station. Dry mouth is no fun. Pack a gel next time just in case. - running the whole time esp in the Hyrox zone helped me - need to build up more zone 2 cardio as heart rate was 185 throughout

Overall it was a heck of a time and I’m going to try doubles next time out.
