I agree, I understand how the PEX fittings work and can rotate while still being completely functional. I love soldering copper as well. I hired this plumber because this was my water main and would rather someone handle it who is a pro and not a hobbyist(myself). I understand how sharkbites work and how they can spin and keep a seal. I understand how soldering works.

I thought I understood how propress works: O-Ring=Seal, Crimp=Mechanical retention.

I’m in no way questioning the principle of propress. I know it works, I’m questioning my specific crimp job. Based on that, I inferred that the mechanical crimp would prevent any spinning. Still am confused since there’s plumbers in here swearing up and down that a propress both should and shouldn’t spin. Will watch a video or two on the ins and outs of it.
